How bad is Labor Day weekend?

I'm possibly looking into going Aug 30-Sep 6/7th, how bad is it over Labor Day weekend? Are we talking low crowds/moderate crowds? What are your experiences?

There are several different websites where you can search for a crowd calendar based on crowds in past years. Here's one at Undercover Tourist: https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/september-2016/#calendar

The crowds aren't terrible in September, even early September. It's Labor Day weekend, so it's going to be more crowded than if you waited a few weeks and went later that same month when most kids are back in school, but it's not like July 4th weekend or anything. But of course, I say that, and then the crowds might be a little thicker in a few weeks because of fall breaks. I'd go, if that helps. It's not going to be miserable, and we've done WDW over Christmas week. That'll put hair on your chest.

The past few years we have gone the week right before labor day and we love it! It's our favorite time to go. The weather is hot, and one year we just missed a tropical storm rolling through, but we love the fact that there are no lines! We joked that the longest line we had to wait in was to check our bags at the airport. Both Disney and Legoland had very little crowds.

It will be much worse this year than last, since last year had the huge hurricane warning right before Labor Day (pushing crowds later in September). If you get lucky and the same thing happens, you'll have no crowds. If not, I'd expect crowds similar to winter 3 day holiday weekends...
