How Bad Is It Really From LAX....

We arrived about lunchtime on a wednesday and went with supershuttle. It took about 45 mins from airport to Anaheim, but then the shuttle went to 4 other hotels before ours (HoJo). But all the hotels were close to each other.

There was no traffic, and even though we were at the end of the line it would have been not much more than an hour from the airport.

We rented a car. I think it was from Hertz. We opted to add the NEVERLOST navigational system with our rental car. . The best money we spent our whole vacation!! Driving can be very stressful. Even when we missed an exit she would instantly re-route us. It saved our marriage too! We drove all over S. Cal. It's great if you want to go to a beach, San Diego Zoo, Sea World or even up to Six Flaggs Magic Mountain. Also for the things around the DL area like Knotts, Wax Museum, Medieval Night Show, etc... Even to Universal Studios. Don't be afraid. For us, we got to see much more of CA then just DL by having our rental car. I guess it all depends on what your plans are.

We were going to rent the neverlost with the car too but we have now bought tomtom sat nav and we made sure we got the one with US maps on it too!! I'm hoping that will help us (it's bad enough for us UK folk to remember to drive on the 'wrong' side of the road!!)

We used the Disneyland Express for transportation from LAX to DL Hotel and had to use SuperShuttle coming back to LAX because it was a 6 AM flight and the DL Express doesn't run that early. If I had to choose one or the other, I would have to go with DL Express. The bus is roomier and you will be more comfortable physically and mentally there. There was nothing wrong with SuperShuttle, but I think the atmosphere in the DL Express was just much better.

We're looking to fly in December. Does anyone know if it's a quicker trip to DL from the John Wayne Airport in Orange County? Are there DL shuttles from there?

Our last trip we flew into LAX, and it took FOREVER to get to Paradise Pier Hotel.
