How bad is good friday weekend at Disney

We were just wondering how bad the crowd gets during good friday weekend at Disney.

We were thinking of doing a quick trip down there April 8-12 and was wondering if it would even be worth it.

I know that it is probably a little late for planning something like this, but we both just found out that we were able to get this time off.

Well, if you can fun with 200,000 of your closest friends.........

From what I have been reading, since I will be there then also, it is the busiest time right after Christmas week. MK is packed on Sunday.

But for me, anytime I'm at WDW is a good time

DH and I were there a couple years ago the week before Easter. We went home on Good Friday. Never again! I don't know if I had to make the decision to go that week or not go at all, I may very well not go at all. It was very crowded. Even with FP, the wait was looooong. And it was in the 90's and humid to boot.

Yes, I too have read that it is probably the second most crowded time of the year. But..... I don't exactly remember it that way. Sure it was more crowded than say- May but compared to July it was a piece of cake. What I do remember is the traffic on the drive from NJ. Some of it I must say was due to construction in NC or SC can't remember which on I-95. We were in bumper-to-bumper at 3:00am at a standstill for hours. That was truly awful. Hope it is better this year. This year I am leaving Jersey a few days earlier - hope this helps.

I think that we will stick with our original idea and that is to go to Las Vegas that week and do our disney trip next year during a time when it is less crowded.

Was also there during Easter many years ago, while it was wonderful to experience Easter at Disney, don't think I'll ever do it again. Just too crowded.

We go every year at Easter time. We don't think it is as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, the crowds are big, but if you plan ahead you should be fine. We have gone the past 7 Easters and had a wonderful time. The weather is perfect and there is hardly ever any rain. Best place to bring in the Easter holiday
