How bad is Disneyland when you start at noon on Saturday?

Have tix for OBB on a Sunday in September and am thinking about going Saturday arriving around noon. Will I have crazy lines all day? Is it really worth it to go to the Haunted Mansion and see Fireworks? Would it be better to go early on Monday until around 2? Which would be best? I'm a pro at WDW but lost on the West Coast. Thanks.

Well, to me, it's rarely "bad" to be at Disneyland. When my family goes, it's not at all unusual for us not to show up until lunchtime (then again I'm local, so have a different stay pattern than an out-of-towner). But I think you will still have plenty of fun even showing up at noon. While it's true lines are shorter the first couple of hours the park is open, I'd much rather go from noon-close on a Saturday than open-2pm on a Monday..

Last time we went we arrived at 12:15. By 9pm we were DONE. Got everything we wanted to do done in both parks. The last few hours in the evenings are great nowadays. That might change by October.

I agree with this. Wait times when I've been there are remarkably short. BUT BUT BUT, annual passes are returning August 25 so it may be VERY different going forward.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely like Saturday better but think I would like to relax more on Saturday. I know this is crazy but I am actually thinking of just making Sunday a very full day and buying a Disneyland ticket for the same days as OOB.

Pretty bad. We hope to be relaxing by the pools by then before we re-enter 5ish.
