How bad is dinner at Chef Mickey's??

We really enjoyed the characters at Chef Mickey's (everyone visited our table) and the food was okay.

Desserts were wonderful and my kids pretty much only ate that - but it is a vacation!

Our last visit (Feb 2009) we had to wait for over an hour to get in. That was with reservations - so they were 1 hour later. That wasn't very pleasant and my DS remembers it so he didn't want to go again this year, but we are going to try it again and see.

The only other comment I would make is the place is kid oriented (read it’s a zoo!). The buffet line was a mess of people butting in ahead and kids running everywhere. Of course, the kids are what Disney is all about, so if you ignore the chaos and just relax, I think you will have fun!

My family and I have been to Chef Mickey's a few times for dinner and each time we found nothing wrong with their food offerings.

The food at CM is HORRIBLE!!! You can get better character interaction at the character spot in Epcot! I too have fond memories of CM from years ago but trust me...it's changed ( and for the worst!)

Have a great trip though :)

we enjoy CM better for breakfast then dinner. WE didnt have a terrible experience for dinner just thought the food was better at breakfast. Enjoyed the character interaction at both meals and never have found to have poor wait staff. Thinking about it we like both CM and 1900 better for breakfast then dinner. Sorry slightly off topic

we have gone every year and will again this year, my husband surprised me this year saying he could pass if we needed to, we tend to go to alot of the buffet because of the character interaction (children) and he said this was his least favorite (food wise) of all the buffets. The character interaction has always been good for us but we do have younger children and they like to dress up for the character dinners.

We tried CM for the 1st time last Sept, not too impressed with

the food, just ok. The characters were fun and we have some
great pictures with them. We have a res for this Sept so we
can get more pictures. lol :goodvibes
