How bad do you really think it will really be? When should I go?

Okay, parents are coming to San Diego from MN. They will be here 12/14-1/2. I sooooo want to take them to DLR and see all the beautiful holiday decorations. I'm trying to minimize the crowds as much as possible, as my mom will have to be in a wheelchair or ECV .
Unfortunately, due to work commitments, the only days of the week I can get off are 12/21 (maybe, which is the Friday before Christmas), Christmas eve, and New Years Day.
The only other option is the weekend days of 12/15 or 12/16 (though the 15th wouldn't be the best, as it's the day after they arrive), or 22/23. We can't do the 29/30 as family is coming in from Phoenix.
So, when should we go? Or should we avoid it entirely?

TIA for your ideas?

I'd go New Years Day. Everybody else who was at the parks the night before will be exhausted, and hopefully sleeping in, and you could have the park to your self. Especially eary in the morning.

I like that Jan 1st idea.

But on the other hand, when someone comes west, they are better able to get up early, so in a way, going on the day after they get there could be a really good idea! Since DL would be open at what, 8?, they could get up for that much easier than once they've started acclimating to the time change.

I vote for Sunday, 12/16. I don't think it will be tooooo crowded that day. Most people don't start Christmas break until the following week. Definitely go, though and have a great time!:)

I vote for 12/16, too. They will still be energized for whatever you guys do, and it'd be a great way to celebrate the holidays. I think there would be less people on 12/16 than 1/1.

Thanks everyone for their input!

And, compared to 12/21?
