How bad are masks in July?

Anyone have tips for sunglasses fogging with the disposable masks? I need to use my prescription sunglasses and I’ve been practicing with the mask at home and I’m getting fogging. Any tips? The metal strips are on order from Amazon. Anything more I can do?
There’s anti-fog solutions that we use on our masks (scuba mask lens) for scuba diving and it seems to be working on glasses! This article talks about how you can create your own with baby shampoo and dish soap! (Also the reasons behind the fog) https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.kl...our-glasses-fogging-with-mask/?outputType=amp

I was there in July of last year as well as early October. I think it is not unbearable, but it does make it seem hotter. I also thought sometimes on the rides when it was hot and you had on a mask it made motion sickness more of an issue for me, when it usually doesn't bother me. That being said, if you want to go and you are okay with heat in general you just deal with it.

I twist the ear loops when putting it on. Holds the mask closer to the nose. And make sure to smooth the metal inside the nose piece onto your nose.

I find whatever the fabric is that Disney uses labeled new fabric on the outside of the package works great. So do masks from Old Navy. I rarely fog up using either of those. The Old Navy ear straps are adjustable.

They used to make an antifog eyeglass cleaning cream, check your local stores, or ask where you purchased your glasses. I don't know if they still make it.

Just back from a week in Kissimmee with 3 park days. Each day we were there, the temps were in the low 90s. I am a Disney die-hard but I will not be back until I do not have to wear a mask. It was unbearable and the humidity wasn’t even that bad. We went through 3-4 disposable masks per day. We also are over the “be stationary to eat & drink” policy. I feel it’s all theater at this point. We talked to our line neighbors in most rides and we are definitely in the majority with our feelings.

Honestly, IMHO, nothing works very well for me. The best is probably the solution they sell at dive shops, but even that only seems temporary. Usually a dive is about 30-40 minutes long, and it'll often wear off my dive mask even before that's over. A common hack for dive masks (yes, I know it sounds gross) is to spit on the inside of the lenses and wipe that around. That actually works just about as well as anything you can buy believe it or not.

With the face masks at the parks, I just put up with it as best I can, adjust the nose strip, etc. Sometimes if the fit is just right it won't be an issue, but anytime I go into AC from the heat my glasses fog up. When it's humid outside, it's an ongoing battle  . I just wipe them off and hope for the best.

It's definitely worse with crowds. Last summer just after opening, my mask didn't bother me at all when I was just able to walk on 90% of the attractions. But standing in line in the heat can be brutal. Unless it's the only time you can go, I would avoid full capacity days at all cost right now.

We went all around both Universal parks the last week of June 2020. IMO, Universal parks have less shade than Disney parks. We wore paper disposable masks so we could change frequently, and tried to make sure we drank plenty of water. Honestly, we forgot we had them on sometimes. We also tried to go on rides that would inside and be air conditioned after a hot queue in the sun.. We also had on the cooling towels, and had neck fans. We liked the towels but the neck fans were bothersome to us. Some people swear by them, saying the air blowing on your mask helps you breathe. We didn't feel much difference and packed them up.

I’m kind of frustrated right now. We have a December trip booked, but may have to cancel. Next option is July. They have some great rates for the week after the 4th of July. Then I forgot about masks! I’m not sure we can do masks in the heat.
What was your experience with wearing a mask in the summer heat?
In a word...Bad, In two words...Water Boarding
We are DVC and AP, visit multiple times a year. Visited last August and will not be back until masks are gone.

We just got back today after a week with heat, cold, wind, and humidity and there are two takeaways:

1. Humidity is everything. Without it, warm temps are fine. But with it, it’s sweaty and suffocating. Florida humidity and masks are awful, will ruin your day no matter what you do.

2. Paper disposable masks are the best option. My wife and daughter gave up on their fabric masks after a few hours, just too wet and warm.

We went in July, August, September, and October last year. We did feel that masks made it feel hotter but with neck fans, cooling towels, and frequent breaks (which we do anyway when it's hot) we had no problem handling the heat with masks.

I was there last August and frankly, it was pretty damn miserable.

You can find chiffon masks on etsy. I'm buying some for our Disneyland trip in June. I've seen good reviews about using them in heat.

My wife and I are DVC and AP and were at WDW in August 2020. We found the masks to not be bothersome at all. In fact we had such a good time we returned in January and are taking our children and grandchildren the end of May, first of June, for a big family vacation.

DW and I go end of august every year (she is a teacher up here and school doesnt start until september usually so end of august is our best option for lower crowds) and that included last year. We used disposable masks for walking around and also brought cloth/spandex type ones too and swapped them out on water rides. All in all we didnt notice much of a difference from our usual august trips, except it being super dead, which was obviously a big positive (also met josh d'amaro, tim tracker, and braden from mickey views news; we are such nerds lol). It seems everyone obviously has different levels of tolerance, but it sounds like you have a good plan and i think you will have an awesome time.

Any insight on how to avoid capacity parks? It seems like each park is sold out every day.
