On Sunday, love will be in the air and everyone will sending their loved ones a romantic card and present .. or will they ?

What are your plans for Valentine's Day ? Are you doing anything romantic ?

Personally we don't do Valentine's, as I don't feel the need to have to tell hubby I love him on a certain day. I hate the fact that flowers are more expensive and going out for a meal is too. I am looking forward to a cosy evening away with hubby the weekend after though :lovestruc

I must admit that it is cute watching youngest DD going out and buying a present and huge card for her boyfriend, and I think they're planning on going out for a meal on Sunday too

We're taking the kids to see Princess and the Frog, so very romantic :rotfl2: Apart from that nothing else special. We do exchange cards but don't do flowers or chocs etc

I don't think we're doing anything as we're in Paris the weekend after. We'll just exchange cards and cook a meal. Well, he'll be doing the cooking, not me! :rotfl:

We are attend a wedding on the Saterday, so we will probley be recovring from thet.

I totally agree Mandy.
we uaually dont celebrate it too much, we usually just get each other a card. will probably have chinese as our meal.

Happy Valentines everyone.xxx:lovestruc

My DH tells me I am the most unromantic person there is so I cringe at Valentines day. DH working away at the moment so he won't be around anyway, so I will tell him that I was going to be romantic this valentines but as he is away he has missed out. :lmao:

We got engaged on Valentine's Day (30 years ago this year!!! :faint: ) so it's always been a bit of a deal for us.

However, after experiencing too many overpriced meals/flowers on the day itself, we'll stick to going out on Friday evening as usual... :goodvibes Which is just as well because Richard has a date with his sons at an FA Cup qualifier (Crystal Palace v Aston Villa) which is just down the road from where we live...

i'm working and gary's flying to germany for business....... we might see each other for about half hour in the morning, romantic eh? :rotfl:

We are not big into valentines day so probably wont do much :)

Like others I don't feel the need to be romantic on a certain day? I try to avoid meals out on that day because they have always been overpriced etc.

I have bought Henry a card (not a very romantic one though:rotfl:), and instead were going to see Avatar in 3D at our local Imax (again not very romantic :lmao:).

I will be in NYC with my friend, it doesn't appeal to her boyfriend so we decided to finally go:goodvibes

Well, I am one half of the most unromantic couple in the uk, so it was rather ironic that 2nd DD was born on Valentine's Day.:lovestruc

We will be spending the day taking a load of 5 year old girls to Warwick Castle and then on to Pizza Express for dinner and birthday cake. I booked for 5pm, so that we wouldn't ruin anyone's romantic meal!:rotfl:

We also got engaged on the day :lmao: original or what !!! i agree that the whole day is overpriced tho so allthough be buy cards thats it...we will probably get a take-away and a bottle of wine :)

Let's see:

Bolton v Tottenham at 1.30pm
Crystal Palace v Aston Villa at 3.45pm

Record Italy v England in the 6 nations to watch afterwards.

Yep, that's got Valentine's Day sorted. :cool1:

Well i have a day off that day, but Fulham are playing their FA Cup qualifier and Matt is off to Fulham for the day so i get to stay in bed for ages :) i will make him a nice dinner for when he gets in and lets see what he plans to do ;) !
We are just doing cards this year.

Maybe it's a Villa fan thing..? ;) St. Villantine's Day??? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I will be cooking us a nice Sunday lunch and a glass of pink fizz, may look at the M&S meal deal;)

Tho on Saturday we are going to a valentines ball at a local hotel so looking forward to that:love:

And we always send each other a card, I always say dont buy me flowers as they as so ridiculously priced and I dont want any choccies either trying to be good;) But wouldnt say no to something from the disney store I love the Frog from The Princess and The Frog movie

Hope you all enjoy the day:love:

We will be cooking a nice meal together, having a drink or two & watching a dvd. :cloud9: I've got him a card and a few little pressies, I don't know if he has got me anything.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Working in the morning being a florist, unfortunately its not what it used to be, a mixture of greedy growers, loss leading by supermarkets on roses and bad press have made it almost impossible for independant florists at Valentines day.
Afternoon I was hoping to goto watch my local team(Batley) play rugby but my delightful Cousin has decided to have a Christening just about kick off time so looks like I am going there instead.
