All of the news outlets searched the Minnesota’s criminal record database and found that he had no criminal record however he had a number of traffic violations. They say he was pulled over at least once per month. How do you know for sure he didn't have a record?
Yup. You can get a gun basically....always. The NRA and their moneybin have seen to that.
Like you waited for the facts here? It's weird because it really looks like you did the opposite. Reading this post, it seems as if you took the fact that he was license to carry and every news outlet reporting on his lack of a criminal record to jump to a conclusion that makes no sense. No clue.... Im not saying he was a bad guy at all. I'm also not saying the cop was right or wrong. I'm just saying we should wait for the facts instead of lynching the cop like the old west.

I agree with some of this actually....
What I don't understand is how someone with a criminal record has a right to carry. I guess that depends on the record...??
You also have to realize the cop probably called in his plate and had all info, including his record and license to carry, prior to approaching the vehicle.

Not really sure what your talking about, but I'm always willing to listen.Leave it to people here to try spinning traffic violations as a criminal record.

That is an extreme number of violations and indicates something wrong. It means absolutely nothing about why he was shot but I would hope that a drivers license could be suspended for someone with that kind of record. All of the news outlets searched the Minnesota’s criminal record database and found that he had no criminal record however he had a number of traffic violations. You could view it that way or you could see it as driving while black is a real thing and enough to get you pulled over. Which is it? We will never know. That is an extreme number of violations and indicates something wrong. Actually, it was our founding fathers that saw to that.

Is there a thread for 10 Dallas LEOs gunned down by snipers?I'm saying a prayer tonight for the 2 people lost in these incidents.
I'm also saying a prayer for the entire Dallas Police Department. What an awful day.
Is there a separate thread door the

This guy had a criminal record. Do we know for sure he had a license to carry? And if he did, why?

Also - PHILANDO CASTILE DIDN'T HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD. I don't know why people seem to think he did (I mean, obviously I know why people want to believe that) but he didn't
A perfect example of rushing to judgment by you.Right, because nobody cares if it's 2 white people...really I don't either because that's not what it's about...it's about abuse of power and some really crappy people who are in positions that they shouldn't be in.
Exactly. This is a problem with either the police or the deceased. It is not normal to get this many tickets. Once again this should not have led to a shooting but it is strange. It is an extreme number.
Its being reported that there were a lot of minor tickets, seatbelt infraction, muffler.
This time he was pulled over for a taillight.
It doesn't look like he was being pulled over for reckless or dangerous driving.
Someone should look at what was going on there though. It's a crazy amount of times to be ticketed. I have to wonder what's going on there and if there's a problem with excessive ticketing used to generate revenue.
Proves my point..... Wait for the facts. It is obvious to me that a lot of people are responding without even having a clue which story they are talking about. There are two different guys. The guy in the car did NOT have a criminal record and is the guy everyone is talking about having a permit. The guy with the criminal record did have a gun on him, but is NOT the guy that people are talking about having a permit (could have but who knows?) It is things like this that Americans do -- hearing about the story through word of mouth, combing multiple stories into one or not truly reading and comprehending a news story...ALL while rushing to judgement -- is what causes issues on BOTH sides.
Because they are not even clear on what story they are talking about.

Was he pulled over that many times, or ticketed that many times? (Honest question). I don't think it's terribly unusual for a guy with say a bad muffler to receive multiple warnings, but not necessarily multiple tickets.
