I know this is a little lame but my family was talking and we are confused on a few. Correct me where I'm wrong please.

Cinderella, Married Prince Charming? She wasn't royalty to begin with right?

Snow White, Step-Daughter of Wicked Queen, Who was her father? She married prince charming too?
Airel, Daughter of King Triton, Married Prince Erik
Aurora, Daughter of King Stephan, Married prince Philip
Belle, Duaghter of Maurice the inventor, marries Prince ? the Beast
Jasmine, Daughter of King ? marries Alladin the street rat
Pocahontas, daughter of an Indian Chief right?
Esmeralda, Gypsy does not marry royalty (is she considered a princess)
Mulan, Warrior Princess? Was she royalty?
Am I missing anyone?

Ariel, Aurora, Jasmine, and Pocahontas are Princesses in their own right. I always thought Snow White was as well...but I'm not sure now that I think about it.

Cinderella and Belle became princesses when they married princes. (Like Diana became Princess of Wales). I never thought of Esmerelda or Mulan as a Princess, but maybe for Disney it's synonomous with "heroine" so they get grouped in with the other princesses sometimes. :confused3

Laurie :)

OK, these questions are good, but I can not figure out why WDW has Mary
Poppins at the Princess breakfast in the Castle. :confused3

In the Grimm's fairytale, Snow White's mother is a queen. So that's how she's a Princess.

Also in the Grimm version, it's her actual mother who hates her for being beautiful and tries to have her killed. Not a step-mother.

I can help with this one, she married Prince Vincient.

How do you know the Beast's name - is that the Disney version or another version?

I don`t think Cinderella was royalty..but her father owned some land

Snow White`s father was a King, which makes Snow White a princess

Ariel was daughter of King Trition, a princess

Aurora, also a princess

Belle was not royalty

Jasmine is

Pocahontas was a princess

Esmeralda was not royalty

Neither was Mulan

I think Disney`s idea is that all girls are princesses..but that doesn`t necessearly (sp)mean they`re royalty ;) :)

That must be another version, since Dave Smith, the Disney Trivia Master, once answered this question with "he isn't named in the Disney movie.".

I can see all of them working but agree with the poster regarding Mary Poppins. From nanny to princess is quite a leap!!

OT, but: We were outside the castle on a totally empty rainy morning and came across Mary Poppins and Bert. We talked to them for quite awhile, took pictures the whole deal. As we are walking away, DS almost 3 says, "Who was that guy with Mary Poppins?" NOt like he is a character, but just some guy. He just couldn't figure out why this random stranger was talking to us!

true. is mary popins a princess??????????? :confused3 :confused3

Princess = Heroine So that's how Alice and Mary Poppins can show up at the Character Breakfasts.

Anyone ever read the real Mary Poppins book by PT Travers? Mary Poppins was not pretty, she was a spinster nanny. If she hadn't been portrayed by Julie Andrews in the movie, she would never be at a princess meal.
