How are the rooms at BC?

Am considering trying beach club for our trip next summer. The kids love to swim. Have stayed at the Poly the last 2 trips. And while overall I really like the Poly, I am not crazy about the rooms . Was wondering if the rooms at BC are nicer.

We absolutely love BC. The pool, the location, the smell of the lobby, and Cape May Cafe. But I do have to admit that the rooms are nothing to call home about. They are standard and small. The bathroom is super tiny. If you are lucky to have a balcony, you will have a fabulous view of either Crescent Lake or SAB. I have read that the rooms at Poly are nicer and larger (although darker) than the BC rooms. But I would assume that in comparison to the Poly, the BC rooms are bright, airy, and cheerful. I highly recommend giving BC a try!

BC is my favorite resort, and Poly is my second favorite. My first BC stay was in the early 90s (shortly after it opened) and my last BC stay was in August of last year. My first Poly stay was in the early 80s and my last Poly stay was in January of last year. Point is that I really love both of these resorts, and have very positive things to say about the rooms at both. But I prefer BC rooms over Poly rooms. BC rooms are not as big as the Poly rooms, but I prefer the decor at BC and the comforters at BC are a huge selling point for me. (I'm not a fan of the old-style bedspreads at Poly.) Good luck with your decision, and please visit us over on the BC/YC thread - just click the link in my signature, below!

The rooms at the Beach Club are beautiful!

For example: Garden View room--2575

We've stayed at the BC twice in the past year and really enjoy everything about it. I agree that the bathrooms are really tiny but I like the fact that you can get the double queen room with the day bed - it works well for my family of 4.

We stayed at the Beach Club in 2009 and I really loved it. The rooms were bright and spacious and the pool area was fantastic. We're off again in June, staying at AKL and can't wait to try that!

I love the BC; rooms are just as shown in the photos higher up in the thread, and I really like the bright, airy feel to them.

Thank you so much for the info!

We will probably do BC for our next stay. I think it will be a fun to try somewhere new. The kids are really into swimming now so can't wait to try out SAB!

Wanted to say... Poly is our fav, but after the last visit (where the "square things" (don't know what they were called:confused3) in the electrical outlet came loose every time anyone touched the table-- taking out the light and tv....just kind of felt like the rooms really need some serious maintenance (not just refurb)

We did a split stay in March - BC & Poly! Rooms at Poly are larger, but BC rooms are very light, bright & airy compared to Poly. The resorts are themed completely different, so it was nice to do a split stay to experience both of them. We did go back to BC since then, and loved it.

It's been awhile since our stay at the BC, but we had a great stay and our room was very nice (and they have been redone since). As others have said, the rooms at the BC are smaller than the rooms at the Poly, but they do have a great decor. But one thing we love about the Poly over the BC is that all rooms at the Poly have a daybed, which is not the case at the BC. If you want a daybed and have less than 5 people in the room, you would have to request it as it's not guaranteed since not all rooms come with them. But with that said, the BC is a great resort and you can't beat being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS. I think the BC would be a great choice for trying something new.
