How are the lines for POTC??

Just went on last week, the wait time may say a long time, but we really waited maybe half the time. *Hint- There are two sides you can go on once you get to the building, the left side is much faster! We tested it out numerous times on the trip!*

I wonder if this will eventually become a FP attraction because of its new popularity with the movie being released?

Wait time for PotC I observed last week ranged from walk on after the intial morning rush to an hour or more when the park was crowded and 30 minutes during typical mid day times.

Crowds were very variable last week. A few days it was very crowded and tour groups were everywhere. Other days the groups must have all gone to Universal and we had no trouble with waits less than 30 minutes and fastpasses all giving times in the next hour.

Interestingly, Mission:Space green team was walk on almost all week.

Wednesday July 19 at 8:30 PM it was a walk on and my DW and I rode all alone in a boat. It was really cool because with no other people with us you could hear all the effects and dialouge really well. I have ridden the thing for years and years and never actually heard the ricochets of the bullets after the characters fire their guns. Also we took the KTTK tour on Sunday of that week and we got front of the line access with our tour guide. He was talking all through the ride so we didin't get to hear as much but he was telling us about the rehab. They increased the pressure of the cannon blasts on the pirate ship attacking the fort, and increased the bass on the sound. It makes the effect a lot better. The solo ride was great and if you are there late or even during the parade I recommend riding as you seem to see and hear so much more.

do they have fast passes for this ride??

No. And I'm outraged as to why they don't. It's ridiculous.

We rode last wednesday around 1030am. the ride stated 20 minute ride but it was way less than that. we went to the left and it moved quicker.
