How are the Disney Stores (mall stores) lately?

All of our local ones have closed up over the years and the closest one is about an hour & a half away.

The last time I visited one was a year or two ago and I was extremely disappointed in the selection, as compared to years ago when the Disney Stores in malls were filled with some really great products. During my last trip, there were some very cheap toddler toys, some DVD's (that you can find anywhere), lots of stuffed animals, & a VERY small selection of clothes. The store seemed pretty empty of products.

Are they still that bad or have they gotten any better?

Thanks!:goodvibes

I think they're better, but I'm still disappointed that there's almost nothing for adults. I miss the OLD Disney store...I was really hoping they'd bring the old style back, along with the great selections.

Our's is good, but like the pp, I do wish they had more things for adults.

Thank you for the input. I miss the old style Disney stores too. I did go to the WOD store in NYC last year and it was fantastic!! They had everything from kids stuff to adult clothes to fine art-really wonderful store & beautifully decorated.....and then a few months later it closed down :headache: They seemed really busy when we were there but maybe it just couldn't compete with stores like FAO Shwartz?? We went to both stores on that trip and the WOD was definitely more affordable.

When DH and I were at the Lansing mall a couple of weeks ago I noticed there was a Toys R Us Express in the spot where the old Disney store used to be.

I'm not sure there are Disney stores left in any of the malls near us.

I didn't spend a dime the last time I was in one. It was all dress-up stuff and clothes for kids, stuffed animals, etc. I used to love it when they had watches and jewelry, adult clothes, coffee mugs, musical snowglobes, etc. I bought something almost every time I went in!!

better than it used to be when The Childrens Store was running it. Definitely.

They're awful. Nothing for adults. All it is is a bunch of stupid kid's toys and princess dresses. I miss the collectbles, the art work.

Former TDS CM here...I LOVED working there back in the day..Jewelry, Adult wear, Sericels, Collectibles, Big Figs... products that were produced well and wore well (still have a jacket that I purchased with my first paycheck in perfect condition!). The stores today are full of mostly junk.. like another poster said, it is better than the Children's Place era, but needs to improve alot more. I was there today, and was happy to see vinylmations (my husband and dd (15) are crazy for them),but nothing else for adults or teens like it used to be :(
