How are the crowds the week after labor day?

We arrive on 9/5 and I am wondering if it will be crazy or if most people will be leaving from the long weekend. I did get the touring plans subscription so that should help some.

Thanks!

This is a good time to be going, crowds are low. Sometimes you can walk right on to a ride. I think the most we have waited is 20mins or so. Have fun!

I went in '99, the Saturday before to the Saturday after, and the crowds were practically non-existent. No need for FP on anything. The longest wait we had for a ride was 20 minutes.

Now, the humidity...that was another story. I went on IASW about 8 times in one day just to escape that hot, heavy air!

:sunny: You mean like we have now up here! :beach: :faint:

One fly in the ointment may be the free dining plan, I think there will be more people there because of it. Also, it is still hurricane season, so you need to keep an eye on the weather.

We were there last year for the free dining and it wasn't bad at all.

We arrive also on September 5th, so I am excited to read about the low crowds! Our last visit was 2005 4th of July week, so it looks like this should be quite as change as far as crowd levels :-) Course, the heat sounds like it will be equally as brutal.

We went the week of labor day (got there on Tuesday AM) in 2003 and again in 2005. Both times, we walked onto every ride. We don't have kids, so the character greets, etc weren't in our plans. The big rides had CM's just standing there waiting for people. It's weird to be the only ones inside Space Mountain!

The heat+humidity was a problem for us (and we're from Texas - go figure), but drinking lots of water and resting made things easier.

I am going in October this year (sept 30-oct 6) and am a bit nervous about the crowds due to the "million Dreams" starting up and the end of the free dining plan season.
