Hi all!!

I'm hoping that someone is there, or has just gotten back, and can give me some insight on the crowds right now. I'm arriving middle of next week and have never been to WDW in a slow period, so I'm trying to figure out if I can squeeze in some extra activities on some of the days.

Thanks,
~ currently :umbrella:, but hopefully :sunny: next week!

We just got home last night from our stay which was from Sunday to Friday. We went to the parks every day except for Monday. The crowds were truly minimal, and seemed to dwindle as the week progressed. The longest wait we had was approximately 15 minutes for rides/etc such as Philharmagic (midday yesterday), Tomorrrowland Speedway (mid morning yesterday) and Rock N Rollercoaster (during EMH on Thursday night afer Fastasmic, approximately 8pm). Stich had a 25 minute wait posted later afternoon on Tuesday, but we didnt do it. There were several rides that did not even offer fast pass as the standby line was so short, and they did not offer child swap as well often since the lines were so short. We did EMH yesterday morning and rode Buzz Lightyear 3 times in a row starting at about 830. In fact, we did EMH on Sunday night at AK, Tuesday morning at MGM, Tuesday night at MK, Weds evening at Epcot, and Friday morning at MK, and the waits were practically nonexistant. Even though several rides had times posted for a 10-15 minute wait, it was far less than that. There were even some that had 0 minute wait times posted, even after morning EMH was over. We rode the safari on Weds at about 930 am with about a 5 minute wait. What else can I say? All in all, it was very relaxing to have so few crowds, not only in regard to the limited waiting in line, but we were able to get around very easily with 2 strollers without having to fight the masses, and we got several pictures with very few people in the background. Oh, also, although we had some priority seating reservations made well in advance, we would walk up to the counter at other times to make a reservation later in the day and get the time we wanted (for example, we made a 550 PS at Brown Derby for 6 people at 3:45 that day, and were able to eat dinner and get over to Fantasmic at about 6:50, and got seats about 10 rows back in the Witch section, and yesterday, got a 12 noon seating at Liberty Tree tavern when I walked up to the hostess counter at 10:30 when they opened).

Hope you experience the same!

Thanks for replying! Seems as if we may have enough time to do all we want to do!

We also just returned from WDW on Saturday(Jan. 22). We experienced much the same as the 1st poster stated. Most all rides were walk-ons. We experienced a 40 minute wait with Peter Pan and Pooh on Thursday. Stitch was short when we went by there, so it must fluctuate. Splash Mountain, 25 minutes. BTMR, 40 minutes, but we FP BTMR, did stand-by for SM then it was time for our FP at BTMR. Buzz was a walk-on , thank goodness because we rode it about 10 times, in a row. I only made 1 PS at Chef Mickeys for our arrival date and winged the rest. We got to eat at Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi just walking up. The lines in Epcot and MGM were short too. Did RnR no problem and TOT 4 times. We didn't do AK. The weather is supposed to be cool next week especially in the evening and AM, take some sweatshirts. Have Fun!

We'll be there next Saturday! I hope the crowds stay low! :D

The PGA Merchandise Show starts 1/27 and runs to 1/30 at the Orange County Convention Center. This will not inpact the parks as much as it inpacts the Golf Courses and the restuarants! Make sure you make PS for Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights!!!!!! Places like YSH, California Grille, Shula's and most of the local Steak Houses will be very crowded.

what time were you there when you experienced the wait for the above rides.....was it early morning or in the middle of day or evening. WE arrive this Wed. night and plan on doing MK on Thursday....thinking that day would be low crowd since it's EMH at night is Wed. night and EMH morning is Friday morning.

Thanks so much

Denise

We are heading down on Friday the 28th and can't wait to get out of this blizzard! I am so excited the hear those wait times listed...we go each year for the first week in February and are never dissapointed with the amount of people...just enough to help share the magic! See you all there!

Hi,

I am posting live from the AKL. We just got back from spending the morning into the early afternoon at the Studios. We were able to ride ToT twice in a row with now wait. Walked right into the preshow. We also did the GMR with a very short wait in the preshow area. From here we took our time in One Man's Dream, great as usual. We then did the Animation tour. From here we grabbed a counter service lunch at the Backlot Express, do not get the turkey grill sandwich, we walked around for a little bit and then saw the Muppet's 3D show. The park did not feel empty but the waits are nonexsistent. We are now taking our afternoon break.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Tiffany!

We'll be staying at the AKL too! Thank you so much for the update...I'm starting to think that we'll be able to breathe and take it all in instead of running around.

Thanks to all who've replied!
