We will be visiting soon and want an update on how the crowds are now....and up until we go?

Is there also an app that can tell you how the crowds are...like attraction times? HOpefully I am making sense.:confused3

Thanks:thumbsup2

Crowds are busier than yesterday, but still not busy busy if that makes sense. 20 min waits at Indiana Jones, Alice in Wonderland, Gadgets Go Coaster. 30 min Peter Pan. 10 min Small World. Those were wait times we experienced earlier. I use MouseWait, which is an app for iPhone.

Cool, thanks! I never even thought to look for an app for wait times! :thumbsup2

Crowds in New Orleans Square were the heaviest, until it got close to fireworks time. By then we felt like we were in a sardine can. Here's a picture of the 4 PM crowds in New Orleans Square.

Thank you for the visual that truly helps!

Thanks for the update.... is New Orleans Square always that busy?? Is that normal??

It's extra crowded this weekend, because it is the first weekend of Halloween Time. HMH just opened and Jack and Sally are out for meet and greets. This is the only time of year you cam find them. Tomorrowland is pretty busy too with the opening of Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. FP ran out yesterday and today.

It's a good thing you are getting out of there before October - you should have seen the mobs around Ghost Galaxy and HMH last year in October! Yikes!!

I was there Sherry... We were there for 4 days on my birthday (oct 28th). I actually think it was easier to get on the rides then, and the fireworks crowds seem almost as heavy.

We were there on October 24th last year - and while it was not as crazy busy as the day I was there in December last year (which I didn't expect to be as bad as it was), it was definitely the busiest October crowd I had seen in a while. It was not as crowded in October 2008 and 2008 was pretty busy too. At night on October 24th, the crowds over by HMH and POTC were ridiculous and we didn't even try to go on HMH again, which we normally would have done. The tram lines at night were insane and we didn't even stay until park closing. We left before 10 p.m. and the tram lines were insane!!

Thanks for the photos -they are great1 Love to see more if you have them, just a week till we arrive

Today was the busiest I've seen it in a while. Pirates line was spilling out towards the river, Haunted Mansion appeared to be using the entire queue maze, Space Mountain showed a 75 minute wait, Matterhorn line went clear around the horn. Lines for Tower of Terror and Screamin' were very short, tho. I wonder if people are skipping DCA because of the triple-dip renovation. It's pretty shocking to me how much of that park is walled off these days. Now the Farmer's Market area is closed.

This is what we experienced yesterday too. DH & DD were able literally walk on TOT. I took some more crowd photos yesterday/last night. I'm just going to post all today and last night's photos tomorrow though. Currently trying to get my family out of bed... I guess they need a vacation from their vacation.

I agree...some areas were crowded Friday and Saturday (especially HMH and SMGG, and the rides close to them) but others were empty. Fastpasses were gone for SMGG before 2pm on Friday, and the walkway around HMH was insane all day.

But...

Friday afternoon there was no wait on Dumbo, 15 minutes on Autopia, 10 minutes on rockets. All of DCA was a walk on during the day on Saturday with the exception of Soarin- used fastpass on that one. I'm guessing things picked up during the evening, but we left at 2pm to catch a plane.

Weekdays were pleasantly quiet last week. Biggest crowds were in Fantasyland (all the little kids not in school). Bigger stuff was walk on most of the time. I picked up fastpasses a few times but didn't use them. 10 minutes on Indy mid-day!

I'm wondering how Halloweentime during the weekdays is going to play out. Last year DL got crowded in the afternoons, even on the weekdays, because people were camping out early for the daily fireworks. This year, no fireworks except for the seperate ticketed Halloween parties.

Last year's crowds really turned us off so much that we haven't booked an annual Disney vacation this year (we have gone in October, on a Monday through Thursday every year for maybe the last 20 years).

I would really like to go to one of the Halloween parties this year, but I'm not buying any tickets--or even spending a dime at Disney this Halloween--until I see how they are going to handle crowd control.
