How are the crowds last week of April?

It took us a long time to decide the right time of the year to finally take our children to disney. Both my husband and I haven't been here for at least 14 years. I'm so excited my kids will be 9 & 6 for the trip. We decided on the end of April because we were told that the weather would be good and the parks would be quite slow? I hope we didn't make a wrong decision with the time of year?

The weather will be excellent, but the parks will be about average attendance. You will have passed easter and most of the spring breaks which really lightens things up alot. We usually go that time of year and our waits range anywhere from walkons to about 15mins. I think you picked a great time.

I've been there several times during the last week of April (and at other times as well). We love the end of April and are going again next year. The weather is usually perfect. 80 to 85 degrees. little if any rain.

Crowds are moderate and things can be a bit crowded on the weekend, but nothing like holiday periods. They have "Grad Nights" at that time of year, so on the weekend there may be lots of teenagers around. On Grad nights they close MK early and reopen it for the teens only for the late evening, I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. Monday thru Thursday, the lines are fairly short for the popular attractions and can be nonexistent for others.

Also, since Easter is in March next year, there will be fewer spring breaks to crowd the parks.

We try to stay away from the parks on the weekends and go during mid week.

In my opinion, you could not have picked a better time of year!

It will be our DS's first trip to Disney the last week of April! I am so happy to hear about how wonderful it is during that time of year. It will be our first time going during that time. My DH and myself usually went in October but are excited to try a different month.
