Yes, it has gotten worse according to our friends who have been going President's week every year since 1996 (we were there with them in 2004). From our experience, crowds were very heavy over the weekend and through Tuesday, then got a little lighter each day for the rest of the week.
The Friday before Presidents Day until the Tuesday after is extremely crowded. After that, it becomes perfect for touring. We now plan to arrive Tuesday and leave the Monday after, only missing one day of school since we have the entire week off here in NY.
Presidents week has been very crowded especially this past year. Everyone from New Jersey tends to travel south with the family.
I know its hard taking the kids out of school when they don't have off but sometimes for your own sanity I would say to do that.
I think that now with the new tickets and better pricing that more people are traveling to Disney plus with the 50th Celebration going on that will add to it as well, especially for Presidents week.
1) President's Week is always crowded.
2) It is one of the top four busiest weeks
. . . Christmas to New Years (busiest week of the year)
. . . Thanksgiving, Easter, President's Day (toss-up dependig upon year)
We've were there this feb and the crowds were nothing like easter. It was slow until the friday of presidents weekend until about tuesday, but at most of the parks everything was bearable. The lines weren't too bad and since the weather is nice, everyone is in a good mood.
