Can anybody comment on crowds during the Food and Wine Festival. I know it starts Sep 30, when we will be there. We will be leaving on Oct. 2

Crowds are normally only bigger during the weekends. We have gone during the F/W festival and although there are definately more people in the World Showcase it is very manageable during the weekdays.

Understand the World Showcase is pretty much a zoo on the first weekend of F&W...guess I will find out for myself soon.

As others have posted, weekends are more crowded, especially opening weekend (which you will be there for), as locals come over to participate. If you can't avoid weekends, do go earlier in the day and eat your way around the booths for lunch or a mid-day snack rather than dinner. This will be our fourth straight F&W fest and we generally try and go mid afternoon or weeknights - we avoid Saturday nights at all costs.

Definately busier later in the day, take plenty of $'s though & go on an empty stomach!! :paw:

How crowded are we talking about? We are used to New Year's crowds - please tell me it will be far less than that!
(We will be among the zoo animals the first weekend)

We were at Epcot in November 2003 during the Food and Wine Festival, the crouds were very reasonable. In fact we loved the time period so much we are going back again this year.
