For anyone just back-- how is the bug situation? We've never had to worry about any bug ( travel Jan and Nov) but are concerned about it this year because of all of the rain.
We went to MNSSHP last Thursday and the only place we had a problem was in the back of Donalds boat and in the backyard of Minnie's house at MK. We were waiting in line for meet and greet and the mosquitos were terrible. But this was the only place we had a problem. There may have been some standing water located by the train or something.
I got bitten up on the 12th. It was at night after raining by Splash mountain. My ankes itched and were in pain for a few days. Dh doesn;t think they were mosquitoes but what else could it have been?
We were at MNSSHP on the 14th and while I was waiting for my family, who were riding the speedway, I was bitten several times on the legs sitting at a nearby table.
I heard the mosquitos are a big problem because of all the standing water after the hurricanes. Watch out after dark. I got bit up on our OKW porch in May by standing out there for about 15 minutes for an obstructed view of Illuminations (big mistake).
Attended MNSSHP on the Sunday, 17th. Attacked by mosquitos by HM and into Fantasyland near Peter Pan. We received several bites each. One of our group had 12 bites. Also noticed them in the World Showcase at Epcot.
