Looking for some information on breakfast with the characters? Which are the best? Thanks. I'm w/ a 3 and 5 year old girls. They don't know yet, but I'm trying to plan some exciting events for them.

Well, depending on when you are going you could try for the Cinderella breakfast in the Castle at MK but you have to try for this right at 90 days as it sells out in seconds! Then there's the Princess breakfast alternative at Epcot in Norway called Storybook breakfast. You also must call at 90 days.

Then some other good ones are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.

Those are my top choices!

They are GREAT fun and a wonderful way for your DD's to see the character up close and without a line wait!

Welcome to the DIS!!

I think that you'll love the Storybook Princess Breakfast at Norway in Epcot. Only Princess not to be there is Cindy. Not all the others are there at one time but you get a mix of 5. We all love it, princesses spens a nice amount of time at the tables, there is plenty of room between tables, nice and bright dining area and the food is pretty good as well.

Donald's Breakfastasaurus in AK is also very nice but we felt it was a little more rushed. That wouldn't stop us from going back however.

Make sure you make a Priority Seating arrangement with WDW dining or you probably won't get a seat. Let us know if you need any help with making those arramngements there are some real pros on these boards.

Welcome to the DIS!!!!

You have little girls? Well, they would certainly go for the princesses. Cinderella's Royal Table is by far the most favorite breakfast and one of the hardest to get. It is up in Cinderella's Castle and there are usually 4 or so princesses there. This June, there was Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Mary Poppins, and Belle, with the Fairy Godmother downstairs for pics. Another good one is Princess Storybook in Norway at Epcot.

Chef Mickeys has a great breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale, and sometimes Donald. That is at the Contemporary. 1900 Park Fare is also nice and that is at the Grand Floridian. Donald's Breakfasaurus at AK is good too and that has Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

You may want to head over to the Restaurant Board for more information especially when it comes to how to make reservations, when to make reservations, and info like that.

Have fun planning and once again, welcome!

I love Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace. Great food and good character interaction. Post this on the restaurant board, and you would get a whole lot more answers.

We are going to the Princess Breakfast -- My DD's are 2 & 4 (DS is 9) We also really like the breakfast at Cape May Cafe if you are staying in the Epcot area (Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale).

The Pooh breakfast at the Crystal Palace is a lot of fun too (Pooh, Tigger, Eyore and Piglet). The food is very good and the characters spent alot of time with my kids last time we were there.

Good luck and have fun!

I loved the breakfast at Hollywood & Vine in MGM. Minnie was absolutely beautiful in her long gown. They even locked another character outside while we were eating. It was not even busy.

It was a buffet style meal, but it was good non the less

how are they? they are great - you will love it

We did cindy's castle breakfast (CRT) , 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, Princess Breakfast in Norway, and lots of Chef Mickey's -

Chef Mickeys is a pretty easy res to get, so is crystal palace -

Chef Mickeys has - chip and dale - minnie, mickey - donald greating people up front... and goofy... or was it pluto.... I think it was goofy

Crystal palace has eeyore, tigger, pooh, piglet - I think that was one of my favorite character meals. good buffet good service

1900 Park Fare had cindy, prince charming, pearl and suzie ( the mice) - goofy was outside in the foyer (hallway) as was the fairy godmother at one point - good buffet - good service

Cindy's was by far the neatest as to the setting.... in the castle up spiral stairs... intimate sized room... breakfast was ok...was presented nicely - but no buffet at that time - character interaction was great - my little girls face all lit up... girlie girl stuff for sure... There was Mary Poppins, Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White... when the servers coem to your table they all greet you with "My lord" or "my lady" or "Good morning Princess" very cute

Princess Breakfast was likewise very neat - A little more rushed I felt but that could be a function of when we had our ressie. We had first seating at 8am at CRT but a 10am seating for the Princess StoryBook Breakfast - no buffet - service was good - fruit, yogurt, pastries, ham, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, toast... pretty much the same as CRT Princesses were Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan....

I can easily say that there was not a single negative to any of the character meals...any one of them will leave your 3 nd 5 year olds with their eyes buggin out of their heads...with ear to ear grins... bring autograph books, oversized pencils, and plenty of film or memory space for your cameras. And do for sure take a camera....

I will keep this picture up for a few days

With 3 and 5 year old girls I think a princess meal would also be a big hit!! We just got back last Sunday and my 3yo enjoyed her breakfast with the princesses. She dressed as Belle and was very excited to eat in the castle! She barely ate until she met all the princesses. And it was so cute how as soon as we sat down she was oohing and aaahing over spotting them all out!

Honestly we have enjoyed all our character meal experiences. It is great fun for the little ones to meet the characters and fun for the adults too. We took DH's parents to the Cape May breakfast this past trip and they had a ball to getting their pictures taken with Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale!

Enjoy!

Also, if you are looking for a character breakfast at a Disney resort, the character breakfast at 'Ohana at the Polynesian is a favorite of mine. It's a very fun atmosphere, and it's convenient to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail. :)

I love the characters, but usually don't do the character meals. Usually, the characters are pretty basic and ones I've met many many times before. Personally, I would rather meat some different characters than see the same ones over and over. However, I would say that with a kids that young, I would definatly recogmend at least one character meal for your trip (if not more). The meals are a great way to meet characters without having to wait in long lines at the park. Cinderella's Royal Table and the Storybook Princess Breakfast are good choices, but you'll have to make reservations 90 days in advance or else you probably won't be able to get them. I would also say that Cape Mae Cafe at the Beach Club Resort is a good choice (Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale) as well as 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian (Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Pooh, and either Tigger or Eeyore).

Welcome to the DIS, Tam. Hope you enjoy both it and your upcoming magical WDW trip.

The character breakfasts are all great. I think I have been to them all except the two princess ones, and I have heard they are great also. You can't go wrong.

Again, welcome.

Can you tell me if there is a place on this board where people post PS's that they are cancelling? I am interested in of course....CRT for breakfast or 1900 Park Fare for dinner on Nov 15 - Nov 19 and have been unable to secure a reservation - no matter what I did/do. Is this a lost cause?
Thanks everyone!~

no it is not a lost cause - but you are in for some work - first "trading" or "selling" of Ps's is not allowed on the board...however, sometimes people will post that they are about to cancel Ps's and sometimes you can work out an arrangement where you and they call at the same time so you are on the phone with a wdw dine representative while the other party cancels. ... that does not gaurantee that you get the ressie but it greatly increases your odds that you get it.

I posted an extra crt that I had back in June - someone said "please" - so we "met" via e-mail and then over the phone to work out the details. She was able to get the resies transfered over to her credit card without my first canceling them... it was just a transfer of one ressie from one person to the next. Now just so you will know - that is/was not supposed to be possible to happen... From what I understand the employee who made this transfer got in trouble...

all that being said - yes it is possible that you could get in - I can get very obssessive when it comes to doing things for my now 8 year old daughter... so I would be calling three or 4 times a day and pulling up the restaurant thread on wdwinfo at least 3 or 4 times a day. doesn't gaurantee anything - but once I posted that ressie I had it was gone in like 10 minutes

Any idea how bad is the Royal Table going to be in mid February?
