How are single rider lines with new FP+

I haven't been to WDW since the new FP+ was in place. It was also in the days of the "old" Test Track the last time we visited. Is the single rider line on TT (and the other few rides where it's available) still a fast way to ride (without a FP)? In the old FP days, we would just do single rider and we could ride TT with a short wait and not worry about getting a FP.
Is it still a short line? I'm especially focused on TT since you can only get a FP for TT or Soarin these days due to tiering of the FPs. Thanks!

I don't think its any different because of fastpass plus. They're still pretty short but can take longer sometimes

Test Track is usually pretty short - 20-30 minutes depending on SB. You don't get to design your own car in single rider, but you do in FP/SB. It's a cool part of the experience if you've never done it before.

RnR is deceivingly long - you get into the loading area quickly, but then you are there forever watching as everyone else takes off. There are signs everywhere saying the single rider line may be as long as standby

I'm sure it happened before FP, but the biggest thing that makes the single rider line long is when groups join it but still expect to be seated together.

We have always used the single rider line for Test Track but the tour groups made it impossible this trip. After the tour groups used their FP for Soarin they all appeared to descend on the single rider line for Test Track. There appeared to be at least 200 of them lined up outside of even where the single rider line began. We gave up and left so I have no idea how long it took that line to go down.

The way I see it is that they haven't figured out a way to get FP for both so this is expected behavior. The one huge plus is that these huge tour groups used to lay around all over the floor outside Soarin'. We did not have to step over and around any this trip. I think they were all in the Single Rider line at Test Track.

Thanks for the replies!

I wish the CM's could do a better job of making sure single rider is just single rider. Groups should not be rewarded for breaking the rules by getting seated together with single rider. Maybe they could add an extra gate or turnstile and only allow one person through to fill the empty seats. We would use it as a family and never expected to ride together. In the past we were able to ride pretty close together (within a couple of cars) and sometimes some of us might even end up in the same car but not seated together (we obviously didn't care about photos).

Guess I'll just plan to ride first thing in the morning for those rides and not count on single rider to make it any faster.

We used single rider several times for TT in June. It was wonderful!
