I was wondering how the WDW restaurants are about adults ordering from the kiddie menus? I had gastric by-pass a year and a half ago so I eat QUITE a bit less than the average adult. I have a card from my surgeon that asks whomever I present it to to please allow me to order from the child's or seniors menu as I have had a surgery that makes me eat approx. 1/9th as much as the average adult. I have yet to use because I'm chicken and fear being told "no". that and often times the kid's menus don't have anything i want so I buy the regular meals and just don't eat much. But I hear and see the kid's menus at WDW are much yummier than the average place. I know at buffets though I'll just have to pay the adult price. Oh well.

Thanks!!! :goodvibes

I got two kids meals this trip.
One: Kids hot dog meal with corn on the cob and applesauce at Flame Tree BBQ counter service in Animal Kingdom! QUITE TASTY! I didn't even finish that! :)

Two: I politely asked if I could get a kids burger at sci-fi and our waiter said "No Problem!" When they brought it out, it actually ended up being the same size as my boyfriend's adult burger, but with less fries.

In my experience, there isn't an issue except at the "High Class" places...even then, if you explain, you should have no issue.

I'm a DisneyLAND native, and do it all the time there, then again, most DL food is counter service.

I just eat less and don't like wasting food.
At the "High Class" places, you could do what I do. I suggest you try one of the fabulous filets you can get at Disney at either Le Cellier or Chefs de France. The smaller portions are easier to control and the cut of meat is lean and usually cooked to perfection or at least close to it.

Disney is VERY accommodating when it comes to adults ordering off of the kids menu. My grandmother is really picky when it comes to food, and was happier ordering a kids grilled chicken or pizza at restaurants. We were never given a problem, even at TS restaurants like Rose and Crown and the Brown Derby.
