How are crowds this week? Dec 1-5

Monday at Epcot felt very crowded. It was passholders that were blocked out, first day back in the park. Yesterday was light crowd at MK due to the party and Epcot was very manageable and much less crowded than the day before.

Interesting. I've been watching TP predictions vs actual and they have Epcot as '2' both days. Overall crowds for Mon was 3 and yesterday was 2 but I wouldn't think that would make much difference when E is 2 both days...
I'm trying to get an idea for next week, which I think is going to be more crowded than this week.

Just got home tonight. We were there Saturday through today. Crowds were very manageable. The pleasant weather and some elbow room while walking around made for a lovely trip!

We were at Epcot on Monday and MK and AK yesterday. Epcot was crowded but manageable. MK yesterday afternoon was a total zoo. LL lines were long and spilled out of the queues in most cases. The Peter Pan LL queue stretched all the way back to Philharmagic. Standby for Haunted Mansion reached all the way to the riverboat dock. Got fed up and hopped to AK, which was still crowded but better than MK. The guest relations CMs at MK said Wednesdays were the worst day of the week during party season.

If you are not going to the extended evening hours, avoid those parks. Do MK (or DHS) on a party day if you have park hopper tickets for lower crowds. Pack your patience.

That makes sense considering that they have parties 4 nights a week near Christmas.

Epcot on Wednesday was just lovely, crowd-wise. Lowest we have seen in many years. It was a bit more congested between Mexico and Japan in the evening, but still very pleasant. Perfect weather, too.

I was at Epcot and DHS yesterday (Thursday, December 4th). Epcot was very manageable when we got there in the morning, but by the early afternoon, it was very crowded. I had an LL for FEA and boy, did I need it. The posted standby time was 55 minutes, and it looked to me like it was more than that.

When I got out of FEA I wanted to go to the Norway bakery, but there was a very very very long line to get in, so I didn't go. Then I had the brilliant idea of getting an ADR for Rose & Crown. Hahaha. Nothing available.

So I took the Skyliner to DHS. I'd ordered food from Woody's, fought my way through the Toy Story Land crowd, got my food, looked around in vain for a shaded place to sit, and ended up walking over to the ABC Commissary so I could eat indoors in air-conditioning.

The additional seating area at Woody's is still woefully inadequate.

There were a lot of people at DHS yesterday. I'd booked a LL for MMRR while I was still at Epcot, so that was helpful. And I was willing to wait for other things. But there was no way I was going to go anywhere near Toy Story Land again.

TL;DR: The crowds are here. Enter at your own risk. ETPE, staying late, and LLMP/LLSPs are the keys to not waiting in heinous lines. Relish your ADRs. And park hop when necessary.

And, PS, the refillable popcorn bucket now costs $15.22 (including tax) and the refills are $2.65, still a bargain of sorts.

ETA: Previous popcorn prices: $14.25 for the bucket (including tax) and $2.25 for the refills. Every other food item I've purchased has also cost more than it did a mere 5 months ago. Be prepared for some sticker shock.

I think it depends on your tolerance. I just got home yesterday, was there from Sat. to Thurs. In the parks Sat. afternoon thru Wens. Sun. was a party day at MK and Sun. morning was great. Low waits everywhere. I went to HS Sun. afternoon/evening and it was semi-crowded. Mon. HS in the morning and boy was it a mess. EE had Rise, Slinky and RNR all not open. MMRR was open but since it was the only big ride for EE even that was pretty crowded then it went down and they had to issue LLs for everyone. By around 8:30 it was a hour wait for Slinky, 45 min. wait for TS, etc. I ate breakfast, stood in line for Slinky, watched the Frozen show, redeemed MMRR and left. Went to Epcot for a few hours in the late afternoon but wasn't feeling it so left. There were decent long lines for food booths. Tues. went to AK in the morning. Rained like no ones business. Safari wasn't scheduled to possibly open until 10. Rode Navi, walked the trails and left just before 10 so don't know if it opened. It was semi-crowded. Went to MK for a few hours and left. Wens. morning went to AK and rode Safari and left. No big crowds. Went to Epcot from there, rode Soarin with a 25 min. wait, Living with the Land with a 30 min. wait. Went to LaCava for a hour then wandered around WS for a few hours. It was pretty crowded so left. I would say it was moderate to high crowds depending on the park and the hour. Epcot seemed pretty crowded most evenings in WS, which always happens at festivals. MK was very manageable on party mornings. HS would probably been o.k. had so many rides not been down/delayed so the crowds had nowhere to go. AK seemed pretty good, of course on the rainy morning most people didn't show up. I wasn't really there to ride rides, I go 3 to 4 times a year and this trip was mostly for relaxing and visiting the resorts to see the decorations (I have an AP so I'm not pressed to go, go, go.) The weather (other than the rainy day) was very pleasant.
