I am thinking about putting together a really last minute trip for next weekend, with an onsite stay. That means I will have FOTL. BUt how are crowds?

this past weekend was a little more crowded than I expected, they were still pretty light. I attributed it to the fear factor taping. express lines were pretty much walk-on.

The parks were empty today. The longest line I saw was at MIB for 15 minutes at 3:00 PM for regular (standby) line. I bet this weekend will be great. They are saying we may have rain this weekend so bring the rain ponchos just in case. It should all be a walk on for FOTL.

Thanks Phamton and Immelman for that information! I can't wait to get there and hearing that the parks are empty is awesome news!! :)

THank you for the information you all. I am hoping I can put this trip together.

Monday is Martin Luther King Day and so the crowds may pick up some but with FOTL, you should have no problem.

We will be there next weekend. I hope the crowds are light like they were about this time in 2002. They didn't even open FOTL until noon on many rides because crowds were so light. This time we are staying offsite.

Do you think this will flow into next weekend? We will be there on Sat the 22 and Sun the 23rd

From what I have read, the weekend of the 21-23 will be light. Everyone tends to go on MLK weekend or presidents day weekend. Other than locals, the crowds should be very light. They say that most locals don't show up until noon or so, so we plan on hitting the popular attractions first and use Universal Express when needed.

You shouldn't have any crowds the weekend after MLK. I doubt that MLK will even be crowded although Orlando schools are out on that day. Last year MLK day wasn't crowded. It won't start to pick up crowd-wise until March. Although the Saturdays of Mardi Gras will probably be fairly crowded. Today had a few more people than yesterday but it still wasn't crowded. I went to Mel's Drive-In at 5:00 PM today and I was the only person there. Very strange.

Phamton, I love to hear your reports about the crowds! It makes me happy to hear about the parks being not crowded right now! I can't wait to leave!! :) Thanks!

Kids are posting on another board that today (Friday) they're supposed to visit for Physics days. They're worried about the rain.

So expect to see lots of kids walking around with science experiments. The thing is, most tour busses don't arrive until 11am, and the kids have no way to get any express passes. Even if they have their own AP, they usually stay with the group and wait in the long line with friends.

We hit IoA this time every year and and we road The Hulk 8 times last year with our longest wait between rides (this is from getting off the coaster to sitting back on it again) of 11 minutes.

Now that you know don't tell to many people about it because we don't want it to get too crowded.

Happy to also hear about the lack of crowds. We will be there a week from today!
