How Are Crowds Now?

We'll be down there Friday for the weekend and were wondering how the crowds are looking right now. I haven't been down on a holiday weekend in years so I'm not sure what to expect. Should I avoid IOA and just do US instead on Saturday?

I'd definitely keep an eye on this, maybe even use it when you're there: http://66.77.171.132/MobileWeb/ParkMenu.aspx

It hasn't been too bad these past few weeks, but I'd imagine with the May 28th day coming up (which is the beginning of the HP package), it'll be picking up.

If you're able to park hop, you could always do that if crowds got overwhelming.

I'll be over at the Studios myself on Saturday, but I won't really be riding rides so crowds won't affect me too much.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

We were there yesterday and it was great. The line to get in the parking lot was huge and I was worried it may be too busy. But we walked on Spiderman, Dueling Dragons, Rip, Ride, Rockit, Jaws, The Simpsons was about a 5 min. wait. All the things looked about 5-10 min with exception of Shrek which said 40 min and had really long lines. Weather was great low humidity and mid 80's.

We arrived around 10:15 and did both parks and lunch and were out by 2:00.

We had hoped to see a soft opening of HP but no luck, they were still working all over the area that we could see. Landscapers and guys with rolled up plans all around! lol

Hope you have a great trip!

I went to US at about 8:45 ish and they were allowing people in the parks. We did R3 three times, longest wait was about 15 minutes. The Mummy, Men in Black, The Simpsons, and ET... also stopped to eat a snack and were out of there and over to IOA. In IOA we did The Sneetches & JP, sat and ate for about 40 minutes or so.. then it poured so we left. By the time we got to our hotel, it wasn't even 3pm... and we are staying on the lower end of I-Drive...

I didn't think it was crowded.. in fact, considering it is Memorial Day Weekend, it was not crowded at all... We will see what tomorrow brings...;)

I've been watching the times at the parks the last few days and it seems that the worst lines have been at Ripsaw Falls. I keep seeing over an hour wait there. What's up with that?

People are still holding off for the actual opening of HP I expect. I'm still wondering what to expect when we go this August.

I don't know...maybe some technical problems? It certainly hasn't been that hot here with showers throughout the day yesterday so the heat wouldn't cause that kind of back up. Today isn't supposed to be too terribly warm either but maybe it's more popular than we think. ;)

I think the Ripsaw Falls wait time is innaccurate. Last Sunday, I checked my phone to see if it was open again (it had been down a little earlier and the name had disappeared from the list) and it was there with a 45 minute wait. My friend and I walked over and it was like a 5 minute wait on the sign.

doubt it was just the heat that would hold up ripsaw falls. we waited 20 minutes this afternoon for bluto's barge..

Thanks for posting that link. Looks like it is much better than the ap I have for WDW. (And, I had to pay for that, too!) :)

Someone must be messing with the Ripsaw Falls times then. I looked today and it was 75 minutes. Weird.

The rest has looked pretty accurate though.
