How are crowds March vs October?

We have ALWAYS gone to WDW in October for our kids Fall Break. Our school board is probably going to do away with the Fall Break from now on. Spring Break will be the next best time for us to go. This year it is Mar 16-20. How are the crowds normally during this time?

Mid-March spring break crowd levels are MUCH higher than October crowds.

I don't think I would ever go during spring break or and other holiday for that matter. I have claustriphobia and I would be MISERABLE during high volume times. We went for our second time during october and loved it.

October's much better...plus you get Food and Wine and Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party!

We usually go in the peak of summer crowds. How will mid-March compare to that?

March/April is our usual time to go. This past October was our first time for MNSSHP, we found the crowds a little smaller but by afternoon it was as crowded as Spring Break, which surprised us. Maybe this was unusual because the weather was great and it was a week before Halloween.
