How are American Girl dolls shipped?

Hi I am thinking about ordering my daughter an American Girl doll for Christmas but I was wondering how is it shipped? Will the shipping box say American Girl all over it? I am afraid if it does and she is home she will see that so I need to know if I should I have it shipped to my Mom's.

Plain brown box for ours. The doll was inside in her AG specific box.

In the past the doll and accessories arrived in plain brown boxes with a packing label listing American Girl was sender. Its not completely obvious but if you have inquiring minds you kinda have to watch out. Plus the brown boxes are shaped like the doll box.....a large rectangle. My smarty pants girls would be very curious if they saw that type of box arrive.

Yup....plain brown box usually via Fed Ex or Smart Post. I hope our daughter enjoys her doll!---Kathy

Thanks! If it labels the sender as American Girl I better send it to my Mom's to be safe. She is always like what is in the box, who is it for and tries to look at it. We tend to get UPS or Fed Ex late in the day too so she is usually home.

If you can ship it to your mom's that would be best- the first doll I bought the kids had opened before I could say "stooooop!" Now the rule is never, ever open a box until I say it is okay.

It is a plain brown box, but the label does say American Girl. It's small letters (typewriter sized) but it is there.
