How accurate is the availabiltiy thread?

Just wondering how accurate the room availability thread is on the dis boards? Anyone know?

It's only as accurate as the few people who post to it. All it will tell you if someone reported a room not available for that date/resort. If there's not a date posted, all it means is no one reported it not available. Doesn't mean it is available.

For what it is worth, I called this past sunday and was able to book 4 nights in a studio at boardwalk in March.

The availibility thread showed several of the nights I booked as unavailable for standard view.

So maybe things will work out.

It's better to find out what might not be available instead of what is available. Even then, it's not very reliable.

All it really does is tell you what rooms were not available when a member called on one specific day.

But, since things change all the time, it really can not be used for anything other than, IMO, to see trends in what might be a busy time. For example, if it is showing all the days in July for studios at BCV listed, then that probably means that getting a studio then will be difficult--not impossible--but difficult.
