How accommodating is Le Cellier for food issues?

I have been reading a ton and it seems all the places we have ADRs should not be an issue for me but I have read almost nothing about Le Cellier. I have found I cannot tolerate garlic anymore. DH has his heart set on eating there again this trip but so many things are cooked with garlic even when it is not listed. How accommodating will they be or am I just doing to have to be careful with what I order? I am running the half marathon the weekend of the ADR and I just do not want to take a chance eating something that will mess me up!

We've always had a chef come out to our table to discuss our options at LeCellier. The chefs have been just as good there as everywhere else. I have found that sometimes they're more limited in their desserts (totally different allergies than yours) but the chefs still do take just as much precaution.

I wouldn't count on being made a garlic free version of something that's standard containing garlic (I think maybe the mashed potatoes have garlic? I can't remember since we can't have them due to dairy) but the chef will definitely make you a safe alternative if what normally comes with your meal does contain garlic (like maybe fresh grilled asparagus instead of being grilled with garlic or substitute rissotto for mashed if the rissotto is safe). Ask to speak with a chef. You'll be taken care of.

Just let then know when you check in the chef will come out and talk to you. This is one of the things that all the restaurants in disney do great

Agree with pps. We've always had good luck at Le Cellier. DS usually gets a steak and fries. Just be sure to ask for the chef instead of guessing about what does and does not have garlic.

LC is our favorite. (I am a vegetarian, so that is a testament to how well they handle the dietarily challenged!) I had a chef there give me his card, and we email him in advance of a visit. One of the things that I request has to be made in advance, this allows the staff the ability to do this. Even the times we've gone without this plan, or there has been a hiccup of some sort with pre-arrangements, they have taken great care of us.

Definitely note it on your special diets form - I have been told that they do read them.

One warning is that this tends to be our longest meal... especially if they have to re-prep dishes that typically require a bunch of advance prep. We have always found it to be worth it. Also, IIRC, all of their breads have the possibility of being nut-cross-contaminated (although I believe both of my nut-allergic friends opted to eat them without incident, so it must have been a minor concern. Nuts are not their "most anaphylactic" food so they will take some minor chances.)

We'll be eating there the same weekend! :)
