How about we start a Ding tread?

Ok....I need some help. I have been reading these boards for a while now. But for the life of me I can't figure out what the heck a DING is? LOL

Can someone please tell me. THANKS

If you go on Southwest's website you can download the Ding program that alerts you to special fares that can only be booked through Ding.

I can't download Ding at work. Should I try and download it at home? I'm trying to get the same airfare from Providence to Orlando for 8-27 that I got on 8-28 ($49), but haven't had any luck on SW's website.

I haven't seen them offer August dates in quite a while. If you download it at home, you can use a back door to check it at work. Check out the link I posted earlier on how to do it.

Chicago Midway -> Orlando $34/each way. I just rebooked my Sept. trip. I already had $50/each way. I saved $60 for my husband and me.

I usually show the same specials posted by others but today my list has only flights in & out of RDU and none of the others listed. Do they sometimes target your local market?

Wish I could plan another quick trip for that rate.
