How about good things in the parks?

OK, so we have seen a lot of the bad/disgusting/distressing stuff going on in the parks lately. Is it just because we don't really notice the good stuff? I'm sure someone out there has seen family members treating each other well and enjoying the magic of Disney. Can anyone share any? Just last week I saw a Dad on the bus back to POR with a baby maybe 8 mos or so. Let me tell you he was one great dad. She just loved him and he talked to her and let her kiss his face all over and he bit her fingers and she laughed and laughed. It was late and everyone was tired but he still found it in him to love her up. Now that's magic!

While in the WDW for Mother's Day with Mom, I ordered a 'birthday' cake for our lunch at the Plaza Restaurant, but instead of it saying "Happy Birthday", it read "Happy Mother's Day". The CMs, neighboring tables- and of course Mom- thought it was great! It was a nice white cake with frosting, real flowers, and ribbons decorating it.

I promise to look for the GOOD stuff during our trip:teeth: I'm not reading any more "negative" threads before our trip because it was starting to bum me out!!

I agree with jwfla422 -- it has been eye opening to read some of the negative stuff out there -- I am going to have to start getting into the Disney Spirit -- the one where that kind of stuff just rolls off my back -- so that we can have a good time (only ten sleeps to go!) -- I have found that if "mamma ain't happy -- ain't nobody happy" -- so as long as I have my good, happy attitude with me, it helps keep everyone else happy in my family too! I'll definitely be careful NOT to walk in any puddles though!

I saw lots of examples of kindness while on our trip to WDW. Here are four that I can think of quickly...
While waiting for the Wishes fireworks one evening at MK a mother brought some treats (suckers and cotton candy) for her children. After noticing the two little girls who were next to them wistfully eyeing the teats she asked the mothers permission and gave the cotton candy to the two little girls.
Also as we were watching the Spectromagic parade my DH started a conversation with the DH of the family next to us. When the parade started this family made room for our children to sit closer so they could see the parade better.
At our resort (CBR) there was a father playing catch with his son with a small ball in the quiet pool. There were two other little boys who obviously desprately wanted to play too and the father invited them to play. They all had a blast together!
Finally as we were standing trying to get a Fast Pass for Space Mountain somebody who was leaving the park approached us and gave us the Passes that they were not going to use.
We did experience some not so nice behaviour but I choose to remember the nice things:wave:

I see lots of good when I'm at WDW. Whether it's the way my family or I am treated by a CM, or the way another family is with their each other, it's all over. I love LOVE LOVE WDW and when I go it just seems magical every time. Sure there are people who are rude and mean, but I just shrug my shoulders....

I too have read some of the other threads talking about bad behavior. One of my most vivid Disney memories is being slapped in the face by my mother on our vacation when I was 11. She was stressed and in a bad mood (huge surprise  ) and I was standing about 5 feet from where I was supposed to be. She hit me so hard, and I know other people noticed. When I took my daughter on her first trip, I stopped at the same spot where I had been hit and hugged her and told her how glad I was to be with her at WDW. I hope someone noticed that too - my daughter!

There is so much good in the world, and you really don't have to look too hard to find it!

Erin :D

thank you everyone for sharing - it has cheered me today!
