I've been following F1 for over thirty years now (I started as a very small child

) and I'm sad to say the last few years have bored me rigid. I don't get anywhere near the same amount of pleasure watching either qualifying or race day. Haven't been to a "live" race since the last time - British GP when Schumacher broke his leg.
Bring back the days of Prost and Senna - this was when F1 was fun. I tend to prefer watching rallying and touring cars now, much more interesting, but of course I still watch as many F1 races as I can, I just don't get the same buzz.
I was a HUGE fan of JV when he first arrived over on the F1 scene - probably because his father Gilles was the first real driver I took a shine to, not for looks but for the way he raced, even if he was in a Ferrari (which probably explains why I don't rate Schumacher, don't like Ferrari's see

).
I have met a number of F1 stars, most very pleasant when they don't have their "agents" telling them who to speak to, and have to say Schumacher is a very courteous person. But I don't rate him! Remember that ad - who would you most like to talk to? Well mine would be Senna and I'd love to challenge him to a race - identical cars - with Schumacher.
I think more so now that F1 has become so dull.
There are so many things that need changing - it's like Premiership Football, or like most sports these days. It's those with the large doses of cash injection that rule supreme (as one would expect), but look at the littler teams - BAR for instance, they've come a big way this year and long may it continue. Sadly they're still not up there with Ferrari. But McLaren, what the heck's happened there. I live in hope that the Ferrari's will start to over-develop themselves - like both McLaren and Williams have done - then we might go back to the good old days when an F1 race was exactly that - a race
Off my soapbox now
