How about a WW challenge??? Inspired by the Alex challenge

Here we go, day 1!!!!!

I am so excited about this. I already had a date with Richard this morning!;)

For those of you who are already journaling, and staying in points , (congratulations, first of all, that is a wonderful commitment to yourselves!!!) I am glad you are joining the challenge, and maybe next week we can add on to the challenge, ie water, exercise, etc. Any special requests?

Good luck everyone, stay focussed, drink that water, journal and mostly have fun. We are doing something important for ourselves and we deserve it!

A big challenge for me is drinking that darn water and excersizing! I hate to sweat!. I probably drink about 4 glasses of water but I just can't get to the 6. First of all, it's hard at work...some days I'm on a register for 8 hours and I just can't keep running to the bathroom, plus we can't have drinks by the register.
 
I was going to suggest that too - I think we should add-on to the challenge each week, not create new ones. Accumulate them rather than change it!

Anything is fine for me - water, exercise, 5 fruits or veggies a day. I know a good one for me would be to committ to measure everything (like coffee creamer, condiments, sauces, shots of rum in my rummy cokes!) things that I guesstimate 1 TBSP where I should take the time to measure and journal accurately!

Vija, will you assign a new challenge each week, or first come first serve - who ever starts the thread??

If you guys don't mind, I will start the thread each week, but send suggestions my way for what to add on. sounds like next week we will add on water. Sound good to everyone? And we will continue to start the threads on Wednesdays, to keep the 7 day week intact. Also, since some people expressed difficulty with certain things, perhaps then we can also suggest different strategies to help each other attain the challenge each week!
 

is this where we should check-in each day. I am done eating for the day and stayed within my pt range :) anything else?

well.... instead of being inspired by we need an official challenge....
It only seems fair that the WW people have a chance to play too...
BUT to be really fair it has to be as tough as the Atkin's challenge and trust me that one is brutal :)
Now remember this is all totally voluntary!
Here is the official WW Alex challenge-and a chance to earn the now famous "I survived the WebmasterAlex challenge" clipart.
For one week you have to stay one point UNDER your allowed points every day with no banking :)
Anyone game?
 
Under the top end bottom end and what about earned points for excercise??

I don't think it's smart to put people under the bottom number so let's change it a tad...
How about not going more than one point OVER the bottom number...
and no excerisize points you should be doing that anyway.
By sticking to the bottom number it's pretty equivelant to the Atkin's challenge
 
well the atkins people started on tuesday so they can't run concurrently, why don't we start it on friday so people have a chance to sign up :)

Will I be thrown out if I am under? I think my true points range is 2 points higher than I am doing. Are we still going to post our journaling? I was looking forward to that part - just so I could get meal ideas from other people. ;)

Ok, I am in, and I agree this will be brutal, but for 1 week, I can do it. Lots of planning will have to occur!!! But I also think that we still need to journal everything!!!!!

I love to play games and win, and I know this isn't a "game", but I do want to win that clippie!:teeth:

But for today, I stayed within points and I actually was able to bank some of them! Very excited about that.

For those that don't want to do the "Alex Challenge" please don't get discouraged. Sign in daily so we can keep supporting each other. I still plan on signing in daily and then next week adding on our water challenge.

So, I guess Friday is our day then? What do you guys think?

Princess I suggest that you just forget they are there - what????? and lose em - no they will help add to your smile at your next WI !!! just another loser tip for what it might be worth:eek:
 
Sorry! I have no interest in sticking to one point number for the entire week because I don't think it is good for me. I don't exactly follow the Wendie Plan but I do find that the week's when I mix my points usage up I have more success. I am going to stick with what has been working for me.
