How about a NO KIDS WEEKEND?!?!?!?!

Ok, I have a great idea. I think Disney should make a designated NO KIDS weekend!!!! How great would that be? No screaming, no whining, no hissy-fits!!! Just a bunch of adults getting to enjoy the attractions in peace & quiet! Anyone else?? I think it would be a great idea and if it ever did come about, I would be like !!!!! And maybe I would actually go there willingly!

Ok and before anyone throws a tantrum themselves, you must be aware that I have a 6 year old daughter, so I know what I'm talking about! And she's well-behaved to boot, but I mean hey, we adults DO need a break too!

that sounds like a great idea!! if they did that, i would book my dvc 11 months ahead for it every year! being a spec ed teacher, it's nice to sometimes get away from kids. and after being there over xmas this year and seeing way too many kids having meltdowns, that kind of week would be right up my alley! bring it on! where do we write to put it in place????

The only reason I'd vote for it is that I love to ride the traditionally "kiddie" rides-Dumbo, Cinderella's Carousel, TS, etc. Sometimes I feel kind of self-conscious standing in those long lines, surrounded by so many people half my height and giving me strange "why is this old lady here?" looks. A no kids weekend once in a while would guarantee some much shorter lines for me and no strange looks.

my brother was prob one of those adults. we were there over xmas with his 3 kids and he was soooooo mad about the lines (uh hello - busiest time of the year) even when the time said 20 min wait. he was so mad and saying how he was going to write a letter and he spent all this money. i was like "SHUT UP". lol! i went off on my own - a lot!! lol! but some of the kids, yikes. i was glad they weren't mine and that i wasn't their teacher. LOLOL!!

I don't so much mind the other people's kids, but I would LOVE to have SINGLE MOM's weekend getaway - ALONE without DD! She is my everything, but sometimes I would love it to be all about me at "The World"!

i almost lost both feet bc of the strollers!! man, they were brutal! lol! i know i'll get flames for this - but anyway. i know most mom's think it is cute when their kids show "independence", but having your 2 or 3 year old child push their huge heavy stroller in the middle of the extremely crowded parks and bump into people's ankles really isn't that cute. sorry! haha. but really, i am loving this idea!

I always tell my coworkers that Disney would be great without children. Of course I then get horrified looks.

Maybe they could just do 4 nights worth where there were no kids in only 1 park. That way the other parks can still have kids.

Are you all insane? Disney World and/or Disneyland without kids? Going to Disney World without my kids for a weekend -- fine. But a weekend with no kids in the World? How terribly sad that would be. No little princesses. No dirty smiling faces.

I don't care how much of a kid we all become (and I become as big of a kid as anybody when I visit Disney -- sometimes to the complete embarrasment of my oldest DS) but, especially when we're on return trips to a Disney park, as adults, we'll never match the magic that hits a child while he or she is at Disney (unfortunately, I'm not a good enough wordsmith to describe but we've all seen it). To me, the kids are part of the Disney magic.

Again, I could go without my kids and I could even go along with EMH with no kids but a full day? No thank you.

then.. don't go on that weekend? I don't mean it in a mean way, but it just doesn't sound like it's for you, and that's fine because it would NEVER happen anyways, lol. They won't even do an adults only restaurant for cryin out loud, let alone the whole resort for 2 days.

As a cm, I don't know if I'd like an all adults weekend, but as a guest I would really like it. Everyone deserves a break once in a while.
