How about a new ride based on the "door riding" scene from Monsters, Inc.

We were watching Monsters, Inc. again, and my 2 teenage DSs thought it would be sooooooo cool to have an attraction based on Sully and Mike riding the doors looking for Boo's door. Anyone else think that would make a good e-attraction?;) ;)

Any thoughts on how it would work? Maybe you could step through your door to get on, then kind of a roller coaster type where you have near misses with other vehicles/doors. What do you think would make a good point to have your picture taken? It would be cool if each vehicle exited into a different room, before going into the gift shop.

Sounds cool to me. I absolutely loved that movie. Anything based on it would be good.

I swear to God, I was thinking the same thing the other night because we bought the DVD and were watching it. I don't have any idea how they'd do it, but it would be so cool!!!!!!

Oh yes! I've thought the same thing since I first saw the movie and so have many others! I even drew an illustration in my notebook of what a vehicle for it might look like. I see it as one of those inverted coasters where your feet are dangling. The thing you sit in could be attatched to a big door that slides along a track. You could go through scenes from the movie like a dark right and when it got to the giant room of doors, it could turn into a coaster! (though that may be a problem for young Monsters Inc fans who don't meet the hieght requirement.

DH, DD and I all thought the same thing when we came out of the movie too. In fact, as we were sitting there watching it I could feel myself doing the "roller coaster" type of thing while watching that scene!!!! That would be cool!

DS and I discussed the possibility when we watched the movie too :)
If not a coaster, then how about an overhead rail/ride sort of along the lines of the flying pteradons at Islands of Adventure?

I like the inverted coaster idea. Well I like them all but if nothing else it could make a great simulator ride like Back to the Future.

That's funny, my 10 year old daughter said the same thing last night. While she was watching the door scene.
"Wouldn't it be cool if they had that as a ride at Disney!"

The great minds here must all think alike. I was trying to figure out what kind of attraction they could come up with to incorporate the doors and of course my first thought was a roller coaster or maybe something like HM so Mike and Sully end up sitting with you!

Y'all realize that we are a bunch of dorks, right? :p

I thought the same thing!!!

DW said the same thing(that's "dear" wife, not "dork"). I thought the same thing about Aladdin's magic carpet ride but look how that turned out:rolleyes:
