If you report a post there is no way anyone finds out who reported it.
There is no "set" number, it depends on what rule the poster has violated, how often they have violated it, how flagrant it is etc
Banned members are not listed or made public, the idea is to get them off the boards not cause public issues.

It depends on the type of sponsorship, there are lifetime and 1 year available

No Missy, because of the structure of the software it's not possible to let people change their own usernames. It also makes it much harder to keep track of "troublemakers". I don't see that happening

When using the WYSIWYG editor the preview post button doesn't work. Well it works in the sense that you can preview but you can't submit then. It just sits there. Is this a board problem or a local problem?

That seems to ring a bell as a board problem or at least others have had that issue... you might want to ask that over on tech support

Referring to question #1 about how to become a mod (which was what I was going to ask), can you tell me do you contact the member you wish to become a mod or do they ask you if they can be one? Do you get a lot of requests from members to become a mod themselves?

I love a lot of different websites about Disney, and I think that I have made many friends visiting these different web sites. But the DISboards was the very first forum, other than WebTV, that I have ever visited. I think that it would be great if the DIS would be a part.

Last one I promise......when you are on a board and you mark the threads as read it kicks you out to the sub menu of boards whereas the older version used to leave you on the list of threads just with the arrows cleared. Is this something that can be changed or is that just the way it is?

adisneygirl- generally speaking we contact the person. A LOT of people do express interest in being a mod but we often select people who have not asked us

Ray- you would have to ask Pete! I don't know if he would be interested or not.

Loubon- I have no idea. I have never marked a thread as read in my life so I didn't know it did that. I'll check it out

Golfgal- each forum is individually designed. If it's not at the top it's at the bottom

Why is it that the boards won't "remember me"? I keep the box checked when I sign in and it still requires me to log in each time I've closed my browser, or after I've been away from here for more than a certain amount of time (I'm thinking 20 minutes or so). It's been like this since the upgrade. Not sure if it happens to other people or just me

I can't think of any questions, but I really like the 'Post Quick Reply" option...it is so much faster. But there is no emoticons menu, so my posts don't look as pretty as all the other cool kids.
