I am going to challenge you all to try one or two new products/techniques that you have never used before in scrapping. Preferrably using something you already bought/have on hand (so it doesn't cost much $$). I have bought several different things after I have seen examples of them on TwoPeas and then never end up using them (like the self-stick mesh). I am going to make a real effort to try to start using some of this new "stuff" I have. I'm so tired of doing the "same old-same old" page after page. ANd I find when I finally do use a new item or technique I'm usually pretty happy with it and I feel confident to use it again.

So that is my challenge to you all.... try something new this week/month/year in your scrapping! And let us know how it works. Post pictures if possible! Love to hear how you all do.......Pamela

Will do! Last week when I was scrapping I tried to really make an effort to pull some different things out. It really gives your album a boost of creativity when you try to think out of the box. Thanks for the reminder.

Actually I just did this! When doing DS's book on his trip to Philmont I used a fair number of the sayings on velum to add interest to the pages. He took it to a reunion of the group last weekend and had lots of compliments. Including great interest from the wife of the trek leader who is a scrapbooking consultant (although I don't know if she is a CM or works in an LSS as I haven't met her).

Well I'm trying to see how far I can go on my July DL trip without going to a scrapbook store...

It may get scary later this week :)

Hey -em,

I could probably go quite a ways without a trip to the store except for needing tape runner and photo mounts! I always seem to run out of those at the worst possible moment.

On the other hand...just when you think you have more supplies than you're ever going to use that perfect shade of paper isn't available.

^ Yes I'm on my last box of sticky tabs and I decided last night I need to match cardstock to Tigger, Eeyore (have no gray), Piglet and Pooh as the colors I have arnt very close at all.. but still 1.00 for carstock isnt bad :)

But I am over 1/2 way done :)
