How 1 trip turned to 2 and now turning into 3!! Update Pg 40 Days 3, 4 and 5!!

You can do it! You CAN make it to midnight. I have faith. Now, I can't say how you'll feel tomorrow ;)
I'm glad that you encouraged my to call CRO. First, they didn't even have any record of my changed reservation. They still had my original dates and total amount. Then I told her about not receiving an email confirmation and they had my email wrong too!:scared1: So, then I made sure that there wasn't two reservations in my name because I wrote down the guys name and what he told me. Nope, only the one reservation. Thank goodness. I still don't see a confirmation email, so if I don't get one today, I'm going to keep calling until I do!!! :headache:
Hope you had a great nap, have fun tonight!

:lmao: Thanks! I'm sure I'll make it until midnight...once I get out and we get doing whatever I'll be ok. I'll stay awake on the drive home since I'm not 100% sure where I'm going and I'm carpooling with a couple of others so they'll keep me awake!

As for tomorrow, I asked Michelle to keep the boys up EXTRA late tonight so even if they get up early tomorrow, they'll take a good long nap! :thumbsup2

No nap for me today-I ran to the grocery store, library, post office and to pick up some lunch. Of course the boy were up by the time I got home. This morning I noticed a big ant hill next to the house but didn't do anything about it this morning. Well I got home today and there was another by the front door and the darned things were in my house! So then I had to vaccumn the carpet and spray the freaking ants while Corbin cried about me making them "get dead". I just can't win today!:confused3

I'm so glad that you called back! So glad that it all worked out for you!!! That's wonderful! Sorry it was messed up - but good that it all worked out in the end.

Alrighty...the boys are playing TJ Bearytales (a talking bear that "reads" stories) so I have a quiet minute! :cool1: I've had to explain so many times today why he can't come to an "all girls" party tonight and why Miss Angie didn't want to eat with him  So he told me he was having an "all boy" party but he's nice and Miss Angie and I can come! :rotfl2: What a good kid!

Ok if I don't get a chance to check in again before leaving tonight, everyone have a great night! :grouphug:

I popped over to the budget board and saw this post:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1978514

restraurant.com (I'm sure I spelled that wrong!!sorry!!) has 70% off their gift certificates!!!! I just spent $27 for $90 worth of gift certificates! More Christmas shopping checked off my list! That's wonderful!!!! I had to share with you guys! I think it said the offer only lasts until Sunday though...

Ok so I talked to Angie (wife going with us in Dec) and am trying to help her find a hotel in Dec. AP rates show values for $54/night which is great! They're staying 12/14-16 so I need to call now and see what's available. She also asked about the dining plan to see if it was worth it for them. I need to spend some time this weekend sitting down and going through all of our plans to see what the cost will be OOP and with the DDP. I was lucky enough to receive a link to a spreadsheet that will help calculate the costs of the meals vs. the cost of the dining plan. I'm excited to sit down and play with it a little bit!

Tonight's the big party night...should be pretty fun! :goodvibes

Have a super day everyone!

Hi I stayed at ASMO in Sept 2006 I like it!! There is a thread on it. This trip we are staying at Pops the and there is awesome thread on it. ( on the resort fourm) You staying at Animal Kingdom (right?) the all star resorts would be closer to you. Sounds like a great spread sheet:thumbsup2
Have fun at your party.

As soon as I find the link, I'll share the spreadsheet with y'all too :goodvibes

I'm hoping to get them in at Pop...I have to make some phone calls today to see what's still available. I'm thinking that I'm going to keep trying until the beginning of next month to see what happens when people don't pay their total at 45 days. :thumbsup2

Good Morning everyone!!

Alright...so I was home at 11 last night. By the time we finished dinner is was 9:45 :scared1: Our reservations were at 7:30 but we didn't sit down until a little after 8. Unfortunetly, the service wasn't the best so it took a very long time and no one even asked if anyone wanted more drinks...we all sat their with empty drinks looking at each other...:confused3

The boys "slept" in this morning until 6 :rotfl: I already told Corbin he's taking a very long nap today! Right now they're sitting down reading library books!

It sounds like they had a good night last night overall. They had pizza and chips for dinner-a special treat in our house. I also got them Nemo push ups from Kroger and Corbin picked out Halloween cupcakes the other day at Publix so they had plenty of junk food last night I'm sure!

Just before I left, Corbin came in screaming and crying. His poor foot was COVERED in fire ants! :scared1: This is his second run in with them. The first time he wasn't paying attention and just stood right on the ant hill....:headache: He was fine that time-no tears at all-wanted to keep playing and riding his bike. Last night, you'd have thought his foot was falling off! He stepped on a rock in our flower bed not knowing that next to the rock was the ant hill because it was covered with pine straw. He was trying to get a toy that had went in the flowers. A little cold water and some Benedryl lotion and he was good as new. :goodvibes He's already told me he'll be ok this morning so he's still thinking about it.

I finally ordered my photopass cd yesterday and paid the extra $5 for express shipping-I also paid the extra $20 just to get a copy for Dan's mom-way easier than making her one! After I ordered, I got an email that my prints were "extended" for another 30 days from the original date which was the end of Oct. So now I guess they'll extend them until the end of Nov....now I'm debating to see if I should ask for another extension until the end of Dec to include our Dec trip. If I'd have known they were extended, I wouldn't have gotten the cd yet! :headache: Oh well...I think I'll have to send an email and see what they have to say about it.

Alright...off to finish making the boys breakfast. Tonight I'm planning on doing an update for you guys!!

Have a super day!

Ouchy! fire ants:sad1: Poor baby!! I'm glad you had a good time last night. It's nice to get out of the house with friends. So I think that I'm going to go to Kohl's, Penny's and the Disney store today and apply for seasonal help. The thing is, I don't want to work at night and no weekends. So, I'm not sure if they will hire me. I just want week days. I've worked retail long enough to know it's really hard NOT to work weekends. I just keep thinking that there are plenty of people who can work weekends. I know a lot of seasonal help have other full time jobs and they can work weekends. We'll see. I haven't heard from our school system yet, so I'm going to go into their office next week. That way they can put a face with the name. It's all online applications now. I hate that. It doesn't give employers opportunity to meet the person applying. We'll see. Have a good Sat. I'll look forward to reading an update!

I didn't know you were looking for anything. Make some more of those countdown calendars and sell them on ebay! :rotfl: Best of luck in your job search. I loved working retail-you meet so many people! I've debating going in for "seasonal" help as well but would only want to do like the cashier part...I'm not up for stocking shelves and all that funness.

I managed to get the spare room, boy's bathroom and boy's bedroom cleaned this morning. Now I've got to finish the rest of the house this afternoon. Just waiting for the boys to get to sleep so I can lay down for a little while.

Good luck!!! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Yup I would do the same thing! I need that piece of paper! You can also go to the Disney site and "register" your vacation or something like that and it will give you a confirmation page you can print out-that's what I printed out to show I was paid in full just in case there was a question at check in.

Have a super Friday!

Thank Goodness It's Friday! :cool1: I'm hoping we get sent home early today!:rolleyes1

I talked to my other friend regarding the adoption. The mom had an ultrasound this week and she's having a girl which is very exciting! She's looking to make a decision about what she wants to do in the next few weeks so we should know one way or the other very soon. :goodvibes

I PROMISE to sit down this weekend and give you a real Disney update-I've been such a darn slacker! You'll get a good update I promise! :flower3:

Have a super Friday!
Great News:thumbsup2 A little Minnie:cutie:
Looking foward to update:thumbsup2

I hope you were able to get a nap.
I'm looking for a job, but not really "looking". Harvey says I don't need to work, but I know the extra $$ would help at least with the groceries. Plus it would get me out of the house again. I worked at Old Navy for 3 1/2 years and quit in Feb of 2007. It was a lot of work, busy work, but I liked it. I didn't go and apply today. I'll go Monday when no one is home. Just don't know how flexible they'll be with the schedule I want to work. I worked at my BFF's scrapbooking store until they went out of business last Oct.
I didn't clean anything today. Well, except my dogs. They both had a bath. So I had to wash that load of towels and I did my dishes. I used to clean on Sat when I worked full time. I straightened the living room for the 15th time.
No kids at home right now and we are watching a football game. woo hoo.

I totally understand what you mean. Dan says I don't "have to" work either but with our recent Disney addiction I kind of have to :goodvibes I love my boys but like being out with adults and doing something productive that I can be proud of as well.

I did manage to sleep for about an hour. Corbin got up and asked to play outside and lucky our neighbor across the street is my boss at work and she was ok with keeping an eye on him for a little bit so I could lay back down! :woohoo: It wasn't long before Carter was up but at least I got a little bit of rest.

We have dog washes here-there's one next to the car wash. From what I understand, you just let the dog walk up the ramp and wash them right there. One of the other girls at the department does that with her dog and loves it. I'd never seen them before!

Have fun watching football! I'm off to make some dinner. The boys finished eating. I managed to get the livingroom cleaned up so one more room is done! I ran the boys to get their hair cut too. I really only wanted the top cut since the back didn't seem to be growing as fast as the top and just wanted it out of their eyes. Carter is not a fun of getting his hair cut and kept telling the girl "DUNG!" (Carterese for done). We managed to get it cut without too many problems. :goodvibes I've got to upload a picture to share.

HI I heard that if your work at the DISNEY Store you get some kind of a discount at WDW. I work retail and yes I work one day of the weekend:sad1:
and holiday:sad1: I work for Discount Drug Mart and we open even on Christmas. I have work there almost 10 years so I have a lot a senoirity
so I usually get to chosse which ones I work.

As I typing this there a "What will you celebrate "TV commerical on.:)

I think I left you hanging with our first TSM ride and meeting McQueen and Mater and left you hanging to see who we would meet before our next TSM ride.

Who did we meet??? The answer's below!

We were hurring back to hit our FP time for TSM since we wanted to get the boys back for a nap and had an early lunch at CR today (birthday surprises galore!).

When we were waiting for Corbin to take his bathroom break earlier in the day, Dan's mom and I had noticed a building across from TSM that Buzz and Woody waited inside and you could meet them in the air conditioning! I didn't much think about it at the time since the times didn't much look like they would fit into our schedule.

On our way back to ride again, Buzz and Woody were there and we had a few minutes before we could use our fast passes. I decided (yup me!) that we were going to meet them. The line really wasn't that bad at all and there were little "stations" to take your picture at along the way.

****Note: I did something here I don't normally do....I let Dan take the pictures! That's right...I was willing to have pictures of the boy's heads missing or something like that. The deal was he could take pictures at the "stations" so long as he gave the camera back before meeting Buzz and Woody.

So, we began our wait:

DisneyPicturesDay4091.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4093.jpg

THIS photo is where Dan finally admitted he wasn't into it and gave back control of the camera:

DisneyPicturesDay4096.jpg

Now for "my" pictures:

DisneyPicturesDay4099.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4102.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4103.jpg

It was *finally* (really the wait wasn't that bad!!!) our turn! Carter was ALL about these guys! Grandma had decided to wait outside for some reason and was watching through the big window with a huge smile!

DisneyPicturesDay4109.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4110.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4111.jpg

***I've got a family picture somewhere I know-I just have to upload it I think!

Corbin was so excited to tell Buzz that we rode his ride already and that we were riding Woody's ride now! (Buzz didn't love this-he was trying to tell Corbin they "shared" this ride but he didn't get it)

So we said our goodbyes and headed off to ride TSM for the second time! We're doing the same thing in Dec-riding it first thing and getting a FP as soon as we can!

This time Dan and I rode together and the boys rode with Grandma. Dan wanted to beat me so it was on! The first game I was only beating him by like 100 points...he continued his smack talking until after the second game. Then the accusations started. I either was cheating, wasn't giving him enough space or was distracting him.......hmmmmm I was too busy BEATING him to do any of those things!

In the end, I did beat him and have the picture somewhere to prove it unless he deleted it on me!

We stopped for a drink and bucket of popcorn:

DisneyPicturesDay4128.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4129.jpg

On the way out, I asked Corbin if he wanted a picture with the big hat (this is his "favorite" Disney symbol). He right away agreed and was in a wonderful mood and had lots of attitude for his mini photo shoot.

DisneyPicturesDay4131.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4132.jpg

Carter wasn't as much into the photoshoot...it may have been the fact that Corbin had him around the neck but I'm not sure! lol

DisneyPicturesDay4134.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4136.jpg

After that it was off to the parking lot. Dan took note of the parking row this morning and said he'd be responsible for remembering it. Well, after wandering the DHS parking lot for about 10 minutes, the security man stopped and asked if we needed help. Thankfully he told him yes. He showed us where the vehicles started parking for the morning and where our van "should" be based on the time we got there that morning.

After wandering the rows a few more times, we found the van! WOOHOOO!! We agreed not to let Dan keep track any more!

It was back to the hotel for rest before EPCOT this afternoon!

After a rest (if you could call it that really....), we headed off to EPCOT paying VERY close attention to where we parked!! This was the ONLY park Dan's mom had asked to go to so she could ride Soarin' and Test Track. I tried VERY hard to be sure they (Dan and his mom)were able to ride these.

DisneyPicturesDay4140.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4141.jpg

We checked the "Times" board and saw there was like a 10 minute wait for Test Track so we agreed to split up and meet at the Innovations building when they were done.

My brilliant husband didn't bother to take his cell phone but did take the single stroller so I only had to have the double stroller with both boys.

Corbin was NOT up for splitting up and wanted to go with them. I managed to talk him into waiting with me and I started to think about the DIS and trying to think about what we should do while we waited for them.

We headed over the "The Character Spot" (seen on Samantha Brown's special) to meet up with more characters in air conditioning. The line again wasn't that long thankfully but no strollers allowed in line so it was a long wait for me trying to keep Corbin with me and carry Carter....

After a few minutes in line, Corbin declared he had to go to the bathroom "I think". I told him he'd have to wait or meet Mickey in pee pants because we were NOT leaving the line! (I *only* did this because we'd just gotten there and he went before we left the hotel) After about 20 minutes, it was our turn to start checking out the characters!

I *love* this character location and will certainly make time to go here again in the future!!!

First up was Mickey AKA "Dis":

Next was Pluto AKA Woof-Woof:

DisneyPicturesDay4151.jpg

Then we went over to see Minnie AKA Minnimii:

DisneyPicturesDay4161.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4163.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4165.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4167.jpg

Corbin took a little break from waiting in line before we got to meet the next characters:

DisneyPicturesDay4169.jpg

Corbin wanted NOTHING to do with Chip and Dale. I'm not sure why because, as you can see in the pictures, he'd been fine until now. It might have been because there were two of them??? Really, I don't know what it was about. I didn't force him but Chip and Dale tried VERY hard to get him to come see them.

Finally, we got to spend some time with Goofy AKA Hat:

After meeting everyone at the Character Spot, I took Corbin to the bathroom just in case he really did have to go earlier.

When we finished up in there, we headed over to the other building to see if I could find Dan and his mom. Wehn we walked in the building we were met with a fire truck! Corbin thought this was my fire station and started screaming, "Mommy we're at your fire station!". I had to explain this wasn't my fire truck (yes they're "my" trucks!! HA HA HA!!) and this was one that Mickey had to show people who don't always get to see fire trucks like he does.

After playing there for a few minutes, Dan's mom appeared and Dan came in a minute later. We decided it was close enough to dinner time to try and head over to CR and get checked in.

You should note the check in/waiting room area isn't that large so if you're trying to be sneaky, this is a bit more challenging than as in other locations we were at!

Here's Corbin while we were waiting for our table:

DisneyPicturesDay4196.jpg

Before long, probably about 10-15 minutes (remember we checked in early!), we were taken to our table. It was *so* worth the wait!!! Our table was the first one down the stairs on the right (booth). We were the first row of tables facing the tank. (The set up of the restraunt reminds me of like a movie theater set up-stadium/raised seating with everyone facing the tank). There is a row of tables right next to the tank but those were all full already and I was happy with where we were.

Now Dan knew Crush was sending Corbin a sign but that's ALL he knew at this point and I intended on keeping it that way!

When we were seated, everyone was handed their personalized menus!!! (It should be noted that there were different options in our personalized menus that were not on the "standard" menu that was on our table!! I didn't notice this until we started ordering food!)

DisneyPicturesDay4354.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4355.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4356.jpg

Dan's mom LOVED these-I could tell by the look on her face! Corbin thought it was cool and Carter did as well. They were more entranced by the fish tank.

Right in front of us basically was CRUSH (AKA a sea turtle). He was just hanging out, it looked like he was just laying there watching another couple eat their dinner! Before long he was up swimming but kept coming back to the same spot.

DisneyPicturesDay4197.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4199.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4207.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4208.jpg

Right after we placed our order, Corbin asked why there were so many bubbles in there with the fish. The waiter quickly answered something about someone bringing something for him! He wasn't quite sure what that meant, but paid attention like the waiter told him to.

The divers swam right up to the tank and showed us the personalized signs!! The divers were amazing! The boys were waving at them and they were waving back and doing all kinds of fun stuff!!

DisneyPicturesDay4210.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4213.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4214.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4215.jpg

Our food came out pretty quickly. One thing I wasn't happy with is that we had to ask for drink refills...that's a pet peeve of mine...my glass should not be empty really. But that's just me....love it or leave it!

Dessert in next post!

Had to split this one up...too many pictures!

Then it was time for dessert!! This time the surprise was NOT ruined!!!! He simply came out and said it had already been taken care of and that he would be right back. He came out a minute later with the cake with candles lit!!!!

Corbin's eyes lit up and Carter started screaming "Shishes!! Cake!!!"

DisneyPicturesDay4239.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4240.jpg

This cake was AMAZING!!! I would have eaten the entire thing!!! The picture on top was more like a paper-not the "normal" edible image for sure! I had to help Corbin poke the knife into it to cut his piece. No one ate theirs so I can't tell you how it tasted. (I've got a thing about eating them anyways but when it was that thick I really couldn't bring myself to eat it)

I would eat here again over and over. The atmosphere was so wonderful. It's a little dark so you really feel like you're part of "their" world for that little bit of time. The boys loved every second of it looking at the divers and fish and "Crush".

Since we were on the dining plan, the waiter gave us all "The Wave" to go which we gladly accepted. They looked amazing but we were all stuffed!!

They also didn't have a box large enough for the cake so he wrapped it with aluminum foil in the shape of a swan. I was very leery about this but when we got back to the room later, the cake was perfectly fine even after Dan partially closed the van door on it!

After dinner we headed off to do Turtle Talk with Crush as a show was starting within the next 5 minutes! We quickly decided to do this one instead of trying to wait for the next one!

Last time, we were like the first people in line. Not so much this time...but it was still awesome as ever!

Corbin sat on the floor with the other kids and I sat down with Carter so he could sit with the other kids too and wouldn't be afraid of the dark.

DisneyPicturesDay4266.jpg

Before too long, Crush came out to meet everyone!

DisneyPicturesDay4267.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4273.jpg

Corbin didn't get picked to talk to Crush-probably good because I don't think he would have....but a "Happy Birthday Dude" from Crush would have been really cool!

We left the show and all Carter kept saying was "Rush! Duuuuuuuuude!". It was so stinkin adorable!! To this day, if you ask him what Crush says, it's still "Duuuuuuuuuude".

Then we headed out and over to get a couple of pictures with Nemo before hitting his ride. Carter was in heaven here. He just stood there for a minute when Dan put him up there.

Once he came back to us, he just kept saying "Shishes" and pointing at them. Dan finally convinced him to touch one and that was the biggest thrill of the trip for him I think!

DisneyPicturesDay4256.jpg

DisneyPicturesDay4259.jpg

After that we headed in and Corbin spotted the dolphins before we could get him on the ride. We stood for a minute and watched them since we needed to ride the Nemo ride and still had to get to Soarin for Grandma.

After dolphin watching, we got into our clam-mobiles and started our adventure under the seas! This was mommy's quiet moment for the day-Corbin rode with Grandma and Carter rode with Daddy so mommy got like 1 minute to peace!

We stopped for a couple of pictures in the shark mouth after the ride.

Next we headed over to Soarin. The wait was incredible-like two hours and Dan and his mom said they didn't want to wait that long for a ride (ya think???). A wonderful man gave them his fast passes that they weren't going to be able to use and they were for RIGHT NOW!!!

They decided to ride then since they could get right in line. The CM wouldn't let Carter ride so I said I would wait with him. Corbin went with Dan and Grandma but the entire time he was yelling that he had to go potty since he didn't want to be in line! Smart kid!

Well, Carter and I waited....and we waited.....and we waited a bit more.

Finally the cake must have hit my stomach and we spent the rest of our waiting time in the bathroom pretty much.

They got off the ride and Corbin was screaming and crying and telling them how mean they were and he was *so* mad at them! All I could do was laugh at that point. I think it was a mix of exhaustion and everything else. Even Dan's mom had a look of "please make him stop!" on her face!

I took him to the bathroom since he told me he still had to go. Since I'd read a little bit about the ride, I started to ask him what he saw. He didn't answer so I started asking him about things I'd read...."did you see orange trees?" "yes they were pretty cool". The more I talked to him, the more and more he told me about it and was just ticked off because I didn't go and they made him ride it.

We finished up in the bathroom and went out to find everyone else. Corbin quickly told them all how upset he was with each of them and he wasn't going with them any more!

We decided it was time to head home since Grandma had gotten to do what she wanted and still wanted to go to DTD. With Corbin's recent attitude turn, everyone agreed this was best!

I took the boys back to the room after Dan dropped us off back at the hotel. He and his mom headed over to DTD to do some shopping. I put the boys to bed and went to sleep myself. I have no clue when they got back to the room!!

Yea! and update:cool1: What cute pictues. Love the Character pictues from Epcot. The dinner at CR looks amazing!! The personizied menu what a great idea and souviner. Did you have to pay extra for them? Is the CR the only ones who do it? The cake made me hungry, just might have to go get some dessert now:goodvibes Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? I might have to look into a cake for our anniversary dinner. Love dads matching shirt:thumbsup2 Carter names for the characters are cute. Landen says Mickey plain as day, the only other one is Guf for Goofy, we working on the others.
