Delta has $89 round trip, per person. This is AWESOME!!!!!! I paid $109 two weeks ago and I thought that was a great rate, but this is unbelievable! I hope someone can grab this rate.

purchased for dec 20-29 for $91 round trip and March 9-16 2002 for $91 woohoooooo!!!!!!!! i made a post about it in the resorts board my mistake.:D

mommyto3, did you call and get vouchers for the difference? I purchased my airfare at the same rate you did, saw the lower fares come out today, and called Delta and got vouchers for the difference - no problem. Now I have to plan another trip to use my vouchers! ;)

We only thought getting ours for $112 rt two weeks ago was a great deal.:D

Wendy- How do you go about getting a voucher from Delta for the difference? What number did you call? What did you say? etc.

Wendy, I did call to get a voucher but she could only give me a credit voucher for $9 a person because the $89 was an internet deal and her computer gave the price of $100. I would be more excited if they would credit my credit card, because a $9 voucher per person isn't that great. Oh well!

J&D, the number I called to get the voucher was 1-800-847-0578. I just said that I had purchased my tickets two weeks ago and the price had gone down, could I get a credit? They were very nice and said "no problem".

Wendy, you said you paid the same price I did. So when you called about the credit voucher, did you only get $9, or did you get $20 (the internet price). If you got the internet price, HOW????????

Thanks Mommyto3! :)

I just called, and like you, I could only get a $9 credit instead of a $20 credit. Delta.com said my flight was now $92.26, but the Delta rep said the computer says $103. I might try calling again tomorrow and speaking with a different rep or supervisor. I read an earlier post where the person was credited the full amount, even when there was a difference in the internet price and the price in their computer.

Wow! It's still available as of now. Anybody know if Delta has announced how long this promotion will be? Is is one of those 3 hour specials? Can't tell from the website.

With airfare this cheap, I was thinking of letting my MIL & FIL know about it in case they want to join us at WDW in Nov/Dec. They'll be in Houston at that time. Kind of late right now. Wouldn't want to wake them up!

Too bad it's not a non-stop flight. Guess only Continental has those. I would definitely wake them up for a non-stop!!!:p

How much is a typical iah-mco fare on Delta? I see that they also have $90 fares for my May 2002 trip. In-law's might want to go then too. (You know - as babysitters:p)

If they do, I would have to get a bigger unit than my studio at the BWV.

If connecting flights are usually under $120, we wouldn't need to make these decisions yet.

BTW, what's the lowest fare for a non-stop anyone's gotten iah to mco?

In-law's are moving down to Houston. With airfare this cheap, we might not have to waste precious Disney vacation time visiting them in Houston! WDW seems like a great meeting place!:D (jk - kind of;) )

These are the cheapest fares we've seen in the last year. Last summer we paid $149($179 with taxes) rt., and that was the cheapest fare we could find at that time. I believe similar flights usually run $250-$300+. I suggest booking now (unless others have seen them go much lower) before the fares go back up. If they go lower, then you can call and get a credit voucher. Also, I believe Delta has non-stop flights out of Dallas. :)

I just checked fares with Delta and now they are $109.26. (what I paid two weeks ago).

SleepyatDVC, Continental is the only non-stop out of IAH. The cheapest I have found, so far, is $223.62. I would grab the Delta fare, even though it has to stop in Dallas. (Some flights stop in Atlanta I think.) We are a family of 5, so for a savings of over $500, we will wait an hour for our connection, with a smile on our face!!!!

I agree, grab those Delta fares as soon as you can. This is the cheapest I have ever found airfare out of Houston. This past May, I paid $205 r/t and that was after watching fares non-stop for several months. A typical fare is close to $250 as J&D said. Oh, and SouthWest offers a few non-stops out of Hobby. Drives me nuts that in a city as large as Houston there are so few non-stops to Orlando!!!

Mommyto3, you're right - I only got the $9 and change per person in vouchers. In my excitement, I forgot to clarify that. LOL! I wish it had been the $20, but with 8 people flying this trip, every little bit helps. Heck, with my vouchers, I could just about purchase another ticket at these rates!

I just checked Delta's prices again. (I think I am becoming obsessed.) In two hours they have gone up to $198.21. Wow!!!

When are all of you traveling? We are leaving on Dec. 1 from IAH, and returning Dec. 9. We are connecting in Dallas. Maybe some of us will be traveling on the same flight.

Thanks for the replies.

Called my MIL this morning. She wants to go but she'll call me back tonight. TONIGHT?!!

Mommyto3, you're right the fares are going up. Heck, I'll pay for their tickets myself to lock in these rates! But <sigh> the In-Laws have been busier than ever, since they retired in February  - can't even spare the time to talk, on their way out! Oh well, they snooze, they lose! Can't blame anyone for higher fares but themselves for their indecision!

Just checked again - fares are gone! Lowest fare on Contential $188 for non-stop.

No matter. I'm still going!!!!

I was going to book for another week but that is just going over my head LOL!!!. This is cheaper than priceline wow!!!. Book now dont wait because they will not go any lower than $91 that is too low:D :D :D :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: disney here we come!!!!.

We will be there Dec. 26-30.

GM- I see that we are coming back on the same day. Will you be on the 8:55 flight? We were there June 26-July 1 of last year.

I wonder how many $9 credit vouchers Delta had to issue last night? :D My parents called and got theirs as well.

Hi, not sure how many airlines will do this, but I do know that Delta will put a flight on hold for you till midnight the following day and will GUARANTEE the fare when you put it on hold. Most airlines (I believe) will put your ressie on hold but won't lock in the fare, so if the fare goes up by the time you call back to purchase a ticket, you're out of luck.

When I booked my Delta flights a couple of weeks ago they assured me that the cheap fares were locked in and guaranteed, even if the fares went up before I called back. So if you see a deal out there that you think "might" work, but you need to do some more checking with others in your party first, etc, go ahead and call Delta and put it on hold. Then you'll at least be assured of getting the cheap fare if you decide to book it! :)

When we booked flights on Northwest airlines for our parents from Michigan a few years ago, we thought that putting everything on hold would also lock in the fare, but we learned the hard way that it didn't. The tickets had gone up by $30 each by the time we called back the next day to purchase the tickets. So I was quite surprised (and very pleased) to see that Delta would guarantee the low fare when you put the ressie on hold. :)

Hi everyone-
I just found out about DIS a week too late it looks like! When I got fare of less than $200 I felt great. I REALLY need you guys! :p Anyway, my husband and I have enough miles on Continental to fly free in December but we are trying to find a good rate for our 2YO. And, of course, if I could get all three of our tickets for the price we'd be paying for just our daughters I think it would be time to switch airlines. If any of you are soooo obsessed you are still checking (even with your ~$100 fares) I'll be checking DIS every day now! PS, did you guys just "stumble" upon the rates or does Delta have something like "fare tracker" that lets you know when the rates go down. Of course, since faretracker did NOT tell me about this one, I would hope it would be the same idea but it actually CAUGHT the great fares! :-)

We track fares at bestfares.com under their "Snooze You Lose" category. As the name implies, these are low fares that are only available for a short (usually a few hours) period of time. Once you see a discounted fare listed there, you can then look for the fare on the advertised airline's website, call a travel agent, or call the airline directly to see if the fare is still available.

We don't book until we find the fare that we want. It does take some research (knowing prices of average and sale fares), patience, and persistence, but the time spent usually does pay off with low fares. We have also started using Orbitz to track fares as well.

Good Luck!
