Hello. I need help finding housing for 32 people toward the end of May, 2008. 28 high school seniors and 4 chaperones. We've rented very successfully in the past (no problems with destruction of property, etc.), but with a smaller group. I am overwhelmed by vrbo.com, I've made many inquiries, with no luck yet.

I am interested in having a nice community pool for the kids, as I understand many of the house pools are quite small.

Can you give me some suggestions of which communities have large pools, but won't be so expensive. Gas prices, airfare, etc. have caused budget issues as well.

Thanks for any help.

Communities with large pool areas: Windsor Hills, Reunion Resort, Terra Verde, Regal Palms etc. Regal Palms has a waterpark type area with lazy river and so does Reunion although Reunion would be expensive.
Check out Regal Palms which is on Hwy 27 about 15 min or so to Disney. Nice area.

There's also Liki Tiki Village that has a waterpark area. Condos are available there. http://www.islandone.com/ior/likitikivillage.html Be sure to say no to the free breakfast: timeshare presentation. We just told them no and was not bothered again.
Here's a site with side by side homes but Emerald Island could be the only one with a community pool.

You can probably find 4 of the 3BR units that sleep 8 at Windsor Hills without too much trouble (putting one adult in each of the units). Their pool area, movie theater, and other amenities would make it a really nice choie.

I would also second Regal Palms. It is a little further from the theme parks, but for the price and amenities you really can't beat it. The service, however, stinks. Really....the people who work there are nice, but they don't have enough help.

That being said, the kids would love the pool area. There is a lazy river and slide along with separate pool and hot tub.

There 4 bedroom units are great. There are 2 master suites with full baths, another full bath and another 1/2 bath. I think each unit sleeps 10 with the pull out couch.

Hope this helps.
