My DH due to a medical condition must sleep on an special pillow that is HUGE!!!! I thought for the trip I could put it in one of those vacuum bags that suck all the air out to fit it in a suitcase or duffle bag. My question is do they use a vacuum on the ship that has a hose so I will be able to get it back home. GOOFY QUESTIONS I KNOW!!!!!!!

They also sell those bags, specifically for travel. After sealing, you roll the bag, pushing air out as you go.

As far as the vacuum-sorry- I don't remember.

The standard vacuum that they use to clean the rooms and guest hallways is a small red and black vacuum that does have a hose. It has a little face with big eyes on the canister of the vacuum. We always see them in the hallway when the rooms are getting cleaned.

I am sure if you ask your room steward he would oblige and help you get the air out of the vacuum bag for your return trip home.

I've seen several posters that have had their room steward use the vac on the storage bag without any trouble - I think it is most common to find the room stewards very happy to accomodate any reasonable request.

That is so awesome!!!!!! My Dh needs to be on an incline. He has sleep disorder and if he is not on an incline his snoring would wake up the whole ship. Thanks for all the feedback.........
