Housekeeping question

We are at SSR now. Housekeeping left a basket of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, diswasher soap etc in a basket outside our room. Are we responsible to change all that stuff or will housekeeping come in later and do it. Thanks.

They will come in later to do it. Since they cannot use carts (like they do in hotels), someone comes around and drops off the supplies. The housekeeper will come along later and use them to service your room.

For stays of 7 nights or less, you get Trash and Towel service on day 4 (check-in day is considered day 1). For stays of 8 nights or longer, you get a full cleaning on day 4, trash and towel on day 8, full cleaning on day 12, etc.

Sometimes they forget to do the room and IMO they hope that you will do it yourself. Call housekeeping if they don't show. They didn't build housekeeping rooms or service elevators at SSR.

We just had our first stay of six days / five nights. I knew we would not get the towel service until day 4. But I thought check in day was Day 0. So I was pleasantly surprised to get the service a day early.

Check in day is day 1, not zero so it sounds like you probably got it as scheduled. For example if you checked in on Sunday then T&T day would be Wednesday.
