Housekeeping Hours?

Do they have someone on staff in the evening?

I was thinking we'd come back to the hotel after the parks and take a swim in the pool, but if we use the towels in our room we won't have enough for showers. So I thought I could call housekeeping and have some brought over.

Also I really hope they don't limit the number of towels they give you. Last year, we stayed at a hotel on our way home from WDW and they would only give us 4 towels. Now mind you we had 2 double beds and a roll-away. Obviously a family of 5. The housekeeper told my DH that they "didn't have any more" The hotel wasn't anywhere near full either. We won't be staying there again!!

Oh - we are staying at POR in case that matters!

They will give you as many towels as you ask for. I woudl ask earlier in the day for extra towels for the pool or leave a note , rather than call late at night. Yes, someone is on duty, but it is skeleton staff at night so may take awhile.

The pools have towels so you don't need to use your room towels while at the pool.

Good point but the OP is staying at POR a moderate and they have towels. At the values best bet is to let mousekeeping know during regular hours if extra towels are needed, you could even leave a note for them.

We always ask for extra towels as soon as we get to our room. We let them know we will be going to the quiet pool later that day. Half the time we drop our stuff and head out to a park and housekeeping comes while we are gone and leaves the towels on the bed. They also keep our room stocked with enough towels for the pool and shower for the rest of our trip.

Just an FYI there are no towels at the quiet pools for POR; only the theme pool.

That's what we found as well.
We just leave a note for mousekeeping asking for extra towels, and they are happy to provide them.

We were at Pop last September, and there was a cart full of towels left out all day and night on the bottom floor of our building (50's Jukebox building)across from the elevator. I didn't pay much attention to every building to see if they all had one but these were for pool use. HTH
