Housekeeping Good or Bad?

Thought that I would post a Poll on the quality of DVC housekeeping.

What has been your experience?

Where is the poll, or we just suppose to comment.

Ours has been good to excellent. We always get trash and towel and only had one incident where we got a room that was not acceptable. Even then they came immediately and clean it to beyond acceptable.

I will add we only stay at SSR or Kidani.

The poll is a little to restrictive for my answer since the majority of time our rooms have been clean and trash and towel gets completed but we've been missed or had dates mixed up a couple of times also.

I agree, given the choices I had to pick the most favorable one. An in-between would have fit better, maybe an 8 or 8.5/10.

I've always got my trash & towel as scheduled as long as I didn't have the DND sign out. Sometimes on solo trips I put the sign out, I don't need more towels and don't want them in the room.

In all of our stays there have been one or two times that the bathroom was not that clean especially in the shower at BWV and OKW. Yet we have always gotten T&T on the proper day.

The only place I can remember where they messed up housekeeping was BLT. We had two linked reservations and they had the days all mixed up. OKW, never had any problems. And that is our preferred location.

It all depends on where we have stayed:

Aulani - EXCELLENT!!
AKV - Jambo - Very good
BCV - Not very good at all and the room had maintenance issues both times we stayed there.
BWV -Very good
OKW - Very good, although they forgot to leave us towels once. Just got more from the cart on the first floor
Saratoga - Very good

Generally, the cleaning is very good; we usually stay at Kidani. Our last trip in June, the top of the range was dirty, with cooked on residue. I didn't call housekeeping, just cleaned it myself, the best I could do. I wasn't using the range to cook, anyway. But, we had a split stay, and at BLT, they had a small bottle of the cooktop cleaner, and I was thinking I could have used it earlier in the trip. Our trip was such that we didn't have trash and towel, because each part of the trip was too short.

Since I have the same type of cooktop at home, I know the problem is really that somebody didn't clean a spill as soon as it happened, or melted some plastic onto the surface. Not really housekeeping's fault. They can't fix every slob who can't clean up after themself.
