Thanks for the post - this question came up during our last stay and I did not consider that it was an option.

Much appriciated.

When I stay at a Disney Resort and we need more soap or towels we just request them. Am I correct in assuming we don't get to that at DVC? Do they even provide shampoo and soap. If so what kind? are they they Deluxe kind like H20 or the mini Mickey bottles like in the moderates?
Thanks

You will receive the H20 shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soap bars. They are replentished on Full cleaning and Trash & Towel days.

You will receive trash & towel service on day 4 (check-in is day 1). They will replace the towels, take out the trash, replentish the shampoo, etc.

If you are staying 8 nights or more, your will receive a full cleaning service on day 4, and Trash & Towel on day 8.

If you need additional towels, you may call housekeping for a towel package as shown in post #3

I always find this schedule odd.
If I stay 5 nights, I get nothing until my last full day? Why bother at that point when it will just have to be fully cleaned the next day anyway? Why not T&T service 1/2 way through my stay with full service 4 days later and repeat that cycle?

No more H2O lotion! I wonder if the non-DVC deluxe resorts still offer it? I don't think we could find it in the gift shops even last time.

I don't remember ever receiving lotion at OKW.

Ya, I don't think I have ever seen them at the DVC resorts. Wilderness Lodge (non-DVC side) didn't back in November. I know the Polynesian, YC and Wilderness Lodge did though at some point prior to the Fall of last year.

We had H20 at Grand Floridian and on the Cruise. Just wondering if DVC is treated as a Deluxe resort or just more like a Moderate/Deluxe. The reason we are buying DVC is because I want to stay at a Deluxe resort with locked in prices. I don't want to find out that the DVC side of a resort is treated differently with different products. I understand cleaning, but doesn that apply to soaps and products. What happens if we have an accident with bed sheets (kids). Once we had a "upchuck" incident and had to have new sheets on our first night. Will this be a problem? Will I have to wash our sheets instead of new ones or will I have to pay for new ones?

If you are staying 5 nights, that's 6 days. Day 4 will be 2 days before you leave. If you arrive Sunday, Trash & Towel would be Wednesday. You can call housekeeping and have it changed if you want.

We had lotion at AKV/Jambo, but NOT at OKW this week.

Oh, and if my experience at AKV.Jambo is any indication, teh $60 charge for a "full cleaning" is NOT worth it!

When I stayed at SSR last time, I checked in on Saturday and out on Wednesday. I got T&T service on Tuesday and that seemed odd since it was my last full day. To me it would have been more logical to have T&T half way through, say Monday.

Can you really change your T&T day? Do they charge for that? So you get one T&T service the first 7 days and you can specify what day you want it (rather than day 4)? They sure don't advertise that you can make that request.
