Housebreaking the puppy: Day 1

Ok, I started the "Housebreak your dog in 7 days" method today. I'm not so sure about this whole thing. My 12 week old puppy is depressed! She just lays in her kennel looking pathetic. We take her out and play with her for about 45 mins every 3-4 hours, but she's just so sad! How can I put her through this for a whole week!???

I just need to keep reminding myself that when this is all over I'll have a well trained dog (hopefully --- if she's not become neurotic!).

It'll be worth it! We crate trained our dog and she rarely had an accident.
