House Party Experts: Application Question

Hi-

Frustrated!

I have done three parties and am set to do the UL Christmas one.

Today, my friend that constantly asks about it, was over. She had me help her get her account up and do some applications.

2 of the parties are ones that I applied for a few weeks ago. Oddly enough, it just said application taken, please confirm, without any questions. So, I just figured that they are really closed parties that just say- apply now. So, she did her Rowenta party app. Worked like normal.

Then I logged in to do mine. Well, it just sent me straight to the end. So, my guess is that they are tracking the computer, not the home address or email. That is so crappy! I get that they do not want people abusing the system. But now I cannot truly apply for Rowenta and her first two apps are bogus!

That is what I get for being helpful. Now, I will likely be marked as a bad egg.

Do they not realize that people use other people's computers sometimes? I use my mom's at her house all the time! So, I guess that I need to avoid doing a houseparty app. on other computers. It could mess up that person, too.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

they do track the computer did you make sure your friend logged out

I just read part of their Privacy Policy and it does say that they track your IP and your cookies. They don't tell you that they are tracking you as you are applying. Regardless, they should warn you not to use a friend's computer. I can't see how that is a problem. We don't live on the same house or the same city. What if people apply at the library?

I guess this will be my last party, if they don't black-ball me before I even get started!

Yes, she logged out of Houseparty. We did not log her off the computer. I never do that with my family or friends. We all use the the same log on page.

Do you think I will be black balled for this?

no i would continue to apply for parties just don't let anyone else use your computer to apply

I will also warn any of my friends that use Houseparty. We all have a tendency to get on various computers at each other's houses. We are all on Dis, Facebook, etc. So we are often looking at various things like the kids' pictures, sales, etc.

That doesn't make any sense. What if you had used a public computer, like at the library?
