I was going to say Carnation Cafe, too! It has a good menu that covers all the basics and gets consistently good reviews, which I think says a lot. The Main Street ambiance is fun, too, especially if you sit outside on the patio. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was tender and flavorful. My picky husband had the bacon sourdough melt and thought it was kind of greasy, but tasted good. I like that the menu is big enough to have a few choices that sound good! Most Disney menus seem so small and limited.
In DTD, maybe ESPN Zone? The menu is full of ribs and burgers and pork sandwiches that sound like they'd work for him. But I don't know if I'd ever personally head in there because the ambience and theme is NOT my thing! And oddly, no one seems to mention it on Disboards... Could it be worse than Rainforest Cafe?? Maybe it's just waiting to be discovered!
