Hi - has anyone ever eaten at House of Blues? I got a coupon from restaurant.com for a dollar for the $25 certificate figuring if everyone said it wasnt worth it it wasnt a big loss. How expensive is it - what do you like to eat there????

Think your going to DL and I have not ate at that HOB but in DTD at WDW it is great food and was very surprised to see it in restaurant.com but guess they ahve a special one each month. you do have to spend certain amount ($35 think it is) before you can use you certificate but that is no problem there. My brother in law is into the Jambalaya and corn bread and I like the steak and my sister liked the chicken sandwich. Then she and I ordered the cornbread which is like a dessert. his trip we will try dessert since we have the coupon:banana: I had got the other day with code from Mousesavers.com for $2.00 so not out much if decided not to go but we will....can go into allears.com and pull up all menus:surfweb:

I ate there last Friday. Had spinach dip which had a layer of cheese on it that one of the chips couldn't peirce, so I cut it witha fork and knife. The cob salad was great. The burger and fries where just fine nothing special. We used a coupon and out total was about $22 after the $25 off.

You can get menus from allears.net or on wdwinfo.com.

If I didn't have the coupon I would not have eaten there, or go back.

Keep in mind toward the $35 minimum you can't include alchohol and they add a 18% service charge.

There a large discussion on the coupon here.

Check out the menus posted on allears.net and to see options and pricing.

Like SkiingFast mentioned above you will pay about $22 (including cost of coupon @ $2) if you plan at hit just at $35. About the same cost as counter service meal for 2 adults.

Yeah, I think out total for the item was $37.

The Hubman and I love HOB. We live about 20 mins away and will go there just for lunch or dinner, without even visiting the park.

Have to agree is pricey at HOB and we have not been back for that reason as the food is good there so when we seen this coupon decided we would go again. It does tell upfront about the 18% but WDW all doing that also on all checks. So have got used to it and really don't mnd if service good. With his particular coupon guess you pay the 18% regardless if service good. will see in few days

We went last week. DH had the New York steak ($29), it was delish! I had a burger ($?) it was okay, and kids had pasta, (nothing special). We thought it was really good, but were glad to have the coupon.

I wish I had read the fine print about the gratuity. We gave our own gratuity also. I guess that waiter was happy:rotfl2:

Quick ? regarding restaurant.com - if you buy the $50 coupon that requires you to spend $100, is the 18% gratuity included in the $100?

For example, if your bill was $90, you would add $16.20 for the tip and be at $106.20 and therefore over the $100 minimum? Or is it your bill must be over $100 and then they add the 18% gratuity and then you can take off your $50 coupon?

Also, someone mentioned that the coupon cannot be used on alcohol, but their restrictions don't mention that: "Excludes: Holidays/Special Events. Cannot be used for Gospel Brunch."

Thanks!

House of Blues is one of the few restaurants in Disney with average prices and good food. I've eaten here many times, and on certain days they have happy hour drinks late at night, which is nice if thats something you like. The entertainmnet is always good, whether inside or outside. I would definitely suggest trying this restaurant.

I will agree with what others have already posted here. We went there only because we had that coupon. I think it's kinda pricey for the quality of food they serve. The food isn't horrible and the service was ok, but just nothing that great really. There were 3 of us when we went in Sept. We ordered burgers, fried calamari, and pulled pork sandwich with drinks. We all said, "ehhh" almost at the same time. It was really funny actually! It didn't suck, but it didn't taste all that great either. We won't go back. We still have other certificates, but DH said he spoke to someone at restaurant.com and we can transfer them elsewhere which we are going to do...don't think we can use them anywhere else at DTD, but we can use them elsewhere.
